  1. I may replace the SAZ-1500D with an SAE-1500D once the SAZ-2000D is released -- that is not quite set in stone yet as the SAZ-1500D is still extremely popular
  2. Yah, something like that. 200-amp fuse rating is correct.
  3. Glad I could help Looking forward to seeing you how do!
  4. I ordered my new 12 MP Casio Exilim that I've been wanting since I broke my 5 MP Exilim... so I'll have pics from the show.
  5. Good news... I have a new camera on the way. So I'll start having pics of the amps again
  6. Almost no apparent cosmetic change. I love the current look, the face is the same. I made the heatsink 10mm taller and placed a BUNCH of fins under the face of the amp. There are also a couple more fins on the side -- very minor change, there is no longer a space between the small side fins. Neat design... the hot air will go up inside the case and out the sides of the fins which are open to air. A flush mount amp rack would allow forced air from fans to flow through those fins as well.
  7. Awesome! Congrats, glad the amps are serving you well
  8. Correct, eventually all the amps will get the new heatsink as more are built.
  9. Seal it... it has like a 30 Hz F3 sealed IIRC. I was going to do a sealed XXX 18 in my home but I sold em' all.
  10. The 100.2 is more under-rated than the 100.4 -- so it does give a bit more juice to run 2 100.2s (both do over their ratings, but the 100.2 exceeds them by even more).
  11. Excellent, thanks for the feedback Chad
  12. are you going to work on anything bigger than the saz3000d ? woulld love to see somethin that puts out 5000-6000 watts That is a low priority due to the very small niche market that it serves, the 3000D is more power than any normal person needs day to day. I will eventually do a larger one, but perhaps not until 2009 or so.
  13. We glued the bottom landing on all four -- so we popped the top spider off all four instead *laughs* I glued them all back better now -- one broke at the triple joint on the bottom spider too, but I was able to fix that as well.
  14. They will be ready in February Ray
  15. Yes, you want it to match up with the crossover frequency for the tweeter crossover.
  16. There will be an SAX-250.2 next year, but I don't have a solid ETA for you.
  17. We figured it out and it's taken care of
  18. My camera is broken... but maybe I can buy a new one before I go

I would prefer an HC2400 if you have only one battery.
  20. Lots of power will be on tap no matter how you look at it Impedance rise will determine actual power output at a given frequency, as always.

Yes and yes. I added a couple more fins on the side, there is a gap there now so I filled it in (minor detail, I know). Then the case is 10mm taller with a bunch of fins UNDER the face of the amp to drastically increase cooling. That is the primary change. The face of the amp is exactly the same. And yah, I expect them mid January.
  22. Just there to look around
  23. Very cool indeed I wouldn't worry about the heat much on the Class-D models, but it might be a problem on the lil' SAX-100.2 as they do run a bit warmer than the rest.
  24. Dang, that is pretty cool!
