  1. I'm about to go double test your amp, as I do double test all the refurbs before shipping them.
  2. Cool, looking forward to hearing how you like it
  3. Yes, indeed, you would need to enable to 10x feature as well to achieve the desired results -- otherwise the frequency would only be in the 200 - 300 Hz area at 1/2 way.
  4. Yes, absolutely. If the frequency was too low that would almost immediately blow a tweeter. For the Supremo I would use the HPF on CH 1+2 about 1/3 to 2/3 up, and the LPF on your midrange on CH 3+4 about 1/3 to 2/3 up to match what you set the tweeter to (perhaps start at 1/2 way up and move back and forth from there to find your sweet spot). For added protection on your tweeter, also turn the subsonic all the way up on CH 1+2 where the tweeter is connected to further filter the really low frequencies.
  5. What crossover frequency did you use?
  6. Wow, that is going to be sick We did ~143 dB with the 8" proto that I re-built by hand Seans CRX in a 4th order band-pass, by the way.
  7. I know what you mean, I've used extremely short jumpers before I think that overall spring loaded are favored since you don't need tools to attach the wires. Once I've grown a bit I'd like to tool my own basket with all the terminals on one side, though, as that is a great method IMO.
  8. Send you an e-mail from [email protected]
  9. What sort of terminal do you prefer over spring loaded?
  10. Just a heads up... I will be gone for about 5 days, January 5 - 10, for the CES show this year. Sundown Audio will be closed for that time... if it is an emergency I may be able to have someone ship an item during that time -- but normal orders will not go anywhere until I get back from CES.
  11. The final proto is on it's way to me -- I'm confident that this will be the one Sean has been having a good run with the first prototype that I re-coned with the new parts. I wanted to make sure that the factory assembly of the new parts was just as good before proceeding!
  12. Corey is correct, the 10" model is 5" deep.
  13. Indeed, I haven't had my hands on a 40.1 to offer a direct comparison. Perhaps someone on here has -- have you tried Termpro?
  14. The 40.1 is rated for 3600 and the 3000D for 3000 watts, so the 40.1 should do more power as it is a larger amplifier. Are there any sort of restrictions on amperage in your class?
  15. Ray, I think the 12" Nightshade will probably do pretty well in Street, I'd like to see it tested I started with 12" and 15" models as they are the best sellers. I'll have to do some testing on 10" and 18" models before releasing them, but they are coming too.

    Merry Christmas
  17. Not sure... the MT is a great SPL sub. My box is tuned quite low as it sits, with a higher tune it could do a 60 without issue.
  18. Black does have one advantage for production -- less lead time. They have to send off the parts to be chromed, the black parts are finished at the steel manufacturer. I think black will be simpler and classier, so I'll go that way.
  19. Thanks for all the great pics, by the way
  20. Indeed... I was leaning towards black, just happened it was faster to prototype it in chrome PS: This is the first of the "E" series woofers... I am prototyping other sizes. I can't give release dates but it'll be a great value line.
  21. Yah, the very latest 100.4s have updated crossover ranges. The first batch of 100.4s are identical to the prototype, although, the proto had no part number on it IIRC.
  22. A 400 watt RMS driver doesn't need leads like the FI Extreme lead package The way they are offset to the side and curled like that they won't slap at all. The little black glue spots are very flexible too so the lead won't be subject to stress in those areas either.
  23. Question for those interested... Keep it chrome? or Make it black? Either way won't change the cost.
  24. I have decided to run the pre-sale up until January 31st to give everyone who is interested plenty of time!
  25. Cool Weird how they got split up! Dropped them all off at the same time.
