  1. Which doesn't mean he knows everything about car audio. One of the loudest guys in the US in Street dB drag got there by "guess and test" over many many years. Yes, his numbers are awesome... doesn't mean he knows everything about audio, just means he has lots of patience and dedication. Nothing wrong with that... but you get the idea. Which guy in the us are you talking about? It doesn't really matter Could be anyone, eh? It's how the SPL scene developed, guess and test. Hey... lets put the subs forward, ports back... BURP. Yep, thats louder... COOL! Anyhow... this thread has outlived it's usefullness as I am sick of this ridiculous crap coming from this small group of Canadian SPL competitors.
  2. Using super advanced technology I determined a random number for the winner... I sent an IM to four random people that I know and said "pick a number between 1 and X" (x being the number of SD-1s sold so far). I then averaged the numbers: Person 1 - 7 Person 2 - 13 Person 3 - 12 Person 4 - 13 Average = 11.25 Andrew Mitchell purchased SD-1s # 11 - 14... therefore it is in his range and he wins the SAX-100.2 ---------- The SD-1 blowout sale will continue but the raffle is done Thanks for playing.

  4. Read my post over there... he was on here hating as well, has no idea what he's talking about. He's from the Canadian Car Audio forums.
  5. There was no mention made I will give out more details when the new 12" prototype comes in, which supposedly should be soon.
  6. Really depends... in general the strapped pair will be slightly less efficient but in some instances, and I don't know exactly why, people are slightly louder when the amps are strapped. *Usually* un-strapped is louder but requires careful gain matching.
  7. Hah, some people do like a nice looking sub too Basically, what I'm thinking is that I want them to have the same general color scheme as the amps. Black cone, chromed basket, and a black motor structure (like the amps with the silver stripe down the center) -- it was supposed to have an anodized black motor on the prototype but the build house made a mistake. Doesn't cost me any more to have the basket chrome as it would to have it finished in black, otherwise I'd consider it a waste of money.
  8. I will release the winner of the 100.2 on Monday
  9. Indeed, they are a nice, quality smaller sized SQ driver I am running two of the tens in my Civic and they are great. Of course, sales were slow since people wouldn't give em' a chance since they look so "plain."
  10. Hah... the original proto did have a chrome basket which I broke trying to get the spider ring off Looked pretty good too, not sure if I'll do it for production yet.
  11. Shipping weight is 28 pounds on the 3000D and 15 pounds on the 100.4 (w/ packing)... so something like 35 - 38 pounds or so for both amps alone.
  12. Peerless Definition if you can fine them: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=1620 Madisound is out of stock, unfortunately. Other than that... Pioneer always makes a good budget speaker: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-PIONEER-TS-C160R-C...1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. In case anyone sent me an important e-mail last night... I didn't get it. I had 1350 spam e-mail this morning and went through and deleted them... I did not find a single valid e-mail out of all of that, so I suspect maybe I deleted something important. So... re-send anything important that you sent me last night =)
  14. Forward
  15. Awesome, congrats!
  16. Yessir, it is a 4th order bandpass.
  17. Internal, and adjustable.
  18. Oh yah... * More batteries * Different subs * Box smoothing * Different seats And some more misc stuff
  19. I will be adding a few more Powermaster D3100s as well... those things are beasts! I highly suggest them to anyone running lots of power, eg: SAZ-3000Ds
  20. When they are ready, yes.
  21. True... I probably should get some videos of this thing. The doors like to breathe on low music
  22. Heck yah... I used to buy these darn things @ KnuKonceptz and it was killing me @ $1.75 each + shipping. Then I had to drill out the Knu terminals to fit my 3/8" bolts. Granted, the Knu terminals are a slightly heavier material... but these terminals work great and I've never had *any* problems with a single one of them.
  23. Should be, let me know your name via PM so I can make sure you are on my raffle list!
