  1. Yes... it is likely just amp turn-off thump. As long as it's not incredibly loud and causing your subs to move an inch... then it won't hurt anything.
  2. Here is a review for you, written by an Audison dealer: http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/showthre...sundown+audison He seems to like it and he sells Audison for a living! Actually, he bought the SAX-100.4 demo unit from me after the review
  3. I think you will do pretty well with your updates to the setup.
  4. They are available now at all authorized dealers. I get that question alot... do I still have "coming soon" somewhere? Just curious... I must have something on the site as I do get that alot
  5. Still plenty to go around... for now!
  6. We will know that soon Stay tuned! This BM is monster... I'm quite excited to see how it does. It actually has a thicker magnet slug than the current generation Mag if you couldn't tell from the photo!
  7. Well, they are underrated thermally... but the BM will reach ~16mm of x-max with 400 watts in darn near any box except @ tuning ported. This isn't a bad thing, it just means they are efficient.
  8. Nick, Need me to post the pic up? Let me know.
  9. I did. I will have two SAZ-3000D in it at first, and will add more later... I might be getting some custom 18" SI Mags made for it as well
  10. http://www.stereointegrity.com/Magnum12.html Straight from the page: "We highly recommend Sundown Audio amplifiers to be used on all of our subwoofers."
  11. The 94' Civic will be leaving me, so it'll still be two vehicles.
  12. Indeed, I normally ship stuff same day if it is ordered before 3 PM
  13. The nameless proto is still for sale!
  14. Feel free to let the other forums know about the blowout sale. I do have a good bit of these that need moving out -- the faster these go the faster the new version comes in
  15. I ended two of the 1500D auctions early, these are going in the demo truck. The other three amps will run their course to their end dates on Sunday. After that you will only be able to get used, b-stock, and refurbs on the forum... and they won't be going as cheap as they have been on e-bay.
  16. It would be louder... even @ 2 ohms you have double the power on tap.
  17. Yep, that prototype does roughly the same power as the current SAE-1000D. Just to drive it home... the production SAE-1500D *will* meet power ratings no problem This is a prototype and improvements are being made as we speak. Yeah, I hear ya. Just curious, what's the difference between the SAZ-1500D and the upcoming SAE-1500D? Is the SAE class A/B? The SAZ-1500D does power @ 12.8 volts, the SAE does power @ 13.8 volts. The SAZ-1500D can be used for 16 volt electrical systems. The SAZ-1500D is made to be stable at lower loads for competition. The SAE-1500D is also made in a different factory.
  18. Yep, that prototype does roughly the same power as the current SAE-1000D. Just to drive it home... the production SAE-1500D *will* meet power ratings no problem This is a prototype and improvements are being made as we speak.
  19. Yep, yours is #1 of 2 of the SAE-1500D prototypes made in that casing. This one has a silk screen of the part number and yours does not, if you recall The unit in this thread is #2 of 2 in that case.
  20. SAE-1500D Prototype - $200 shipped in the continental USA SOLD to fuzzyping! The heatsink on the prototype is not the heatsink that will be used for production and is one of two prototypes made in this case. This prototype does not make full rated power, but is good for around 1000 watts RMS @ 12.8 volts / 1200 watts RMS @ 14.4 volts into a 1 ohm load per my testing. The next revision of this prototype is under construction and will address the low power output as production models will easily meet their 1500 watt rating @ 13.8 volts (as all SAE amps are to be rated). This unit has 4 awg input terminals and 3x 40 amp fuses. ------ Unnamed Prototype - $250 shipped in the continental USA This prototype is good for around 1400 watts @ 12.8 volts / 1600 watts @ 14.4 volts into a 1 ohm load per my testing. This model will likely never reach production at Sundown Audio. It does have a "hum" sound at idle emanating from the power supply due to low duty cycle, this wouldn't be noticed in a trunk at all and does quiet down when the amp is presented with a load. This unit has 1/0 input terminals and no internal fusing. ------ These protos are sold with no warranty other than a non-DOA guarantee. I just finished re-testing them and they work fine. I am clearing out space here for new products coming in, so these need to go!
  21. The 50.4 is an SAE model and will have the same heatsink as the SAE-1000D. I will probably add a smaller SAX multi-channel at a later date that will maintain the feature set of the SAX-100.4 in a smaller model.
  22. I have sold quite a few of these already, jump in while supplies last Another project idea would be a huge IB home subwoofer setup similar to this: http://home.comcast.net/~klone-audio/page13-12Shiva1.html The 12" SD-1 would make a great choice for a similar project due to it's aptitude for IB installation. I could work an even better discount for quantities over 4 as well!
  23. I may pull them off e-bay and use them for my demo truck (coming tomorrow) if they don't sell tonight. I am about to send out a mailing to prospective dealers and I don't want them to think that me listing these on e-bay is a "regular" thing.
