4 gauge will run the amp, but it is pushing it for a long run.

There won't be any options at first. It's pretty tough to get a quality SPL sub out at all It's going to have a ridiculously hard paper based cone.

DD offers the new composite cones, try one of those Should hold up to the pressure better than the regular paper.

Seems alot of folks are interested in the 250.2 in the net' market. MSRP is going to be around $499 - $599 on it when it is released depending on what metal prices look like by that time and how much I beef it up from the proto. I really want the 250.2 to be a monster... like the 100.2 but 250% bigger Do you guys care if it's a surf board?

Indeed... I've been waiting on the modified coil for a while. I am also working on arrangements to have the Nightshade assembled in the USA as well... so it'll take some time

Larry, Most companies don't consider it a b-stock type defect as it doesn't seriously hamper performance. I am a little more picky than most and pull them aside if I catch it as I inspect each amp before it ships out of here. I am trying to work out something with the factory to avoid the alignment problem but it's such a fine part and tight tolerance that it is difficult to get them 100% straight all the time. Until they can do that... I'll have B-Stocks from time to time. It is still only around 1% that are mis-aligned enough to look off, but thats too much for me

Note the model number "SAE" -- it's a different series. These are the "entry level" line and other amps to match them are in the works, specifically an SAE-50.4 and SAE-75.2 model. They will all have matching heatsinks with one another.

Still looking at about the same The SAE-50.4 will be the first of the announced models to come, followed by the SAE-75.2, and finally the SAX-250.2 will come after that. I will be tweaking the design for all three models compared to the prototypes shown. The next revision of the SAE-50.4 design is due in a little over a month or so... and hopefully I'll have production models by the end of the year.

It is very compact so a little heat is to be expected. I've abuse tested them thoroughly and they do just fine even when they get warmed up

Only 2 hours on the OZ Matrix Elite... it may go for as low as the $150 starting price.

If you want sealed the TC-1000 is not a good choice either. If you want to stick with TC and a sealed box try the TC-7.

Doesn't sound like the electrical at this point. It could be an internal problem in the amp. I'd like to look at it... ship yours back and I will have a new one tested and ready to go out waiting for you so I can investigate. It's a new model so I'd like to see what kinds of problems it might have in the field.

Hmmm... I would say to try it at different loads, maybe one sub at a time. Maybe another RCA source if you have one. If that doesn't help ship it on out and I'll get it taken care of ASAP.

Subs out of phase? What do you mean cutting in and out? Can you explain further?
