when is sundown audio going to have some deals on here soon?
I am debating on how the line will look... I may keep a woofer very much like the current SA with some small mods and then move up the driver I was designing as the "SA-10/12/15 v.2" to the next line up and re-name in something like SAX... as I don't want to leave a big gap in pricing as the stuff I'm working on does involve a newly tooled cast frame (expensive). PS: I may do a sale this month... keeps your eyes open.

Odd Hours for a bit
Some shirt orders will need to get drop-shipped from Derrick as we ran out of a couple sizes.

Z v.3 Production Motor Photos
On 1500 RMS I wouldn't be worried about them -- the 18s will be 480, yes. It takes pretty big power to max out the 9.25" spider even free air.

NEO 8
Many PA drivers make sacrifices in the name of the highest 1w/1m figures -- we didn't do that with the NeoPro line. I think they sound pretty darn good.

Help with e8 v2 d2
Thanks for input. My box is a single chanber. So can i just add more ports? Or what is the recoomended? Currently is round 4 and 14 long. What round port can i add to tune the box properly. Thanks guys im really goint. To fix it today! A 6" port should do it for four of them. You may also want to raise tuning to 35 or so... in-vehicle tuned to 30 is often too low after loading on the vehicle.

Odd Hours for a bit
Phone hours will be 8 AM - 2 PM minus 12-1 for lunch the rest of this week (has been this way for a week or so already) -- but will be back to normal next week. We've had to work around a bit of an odd work schedule for a bit but we'll have it back to normal next week

Port is too small for that many subs.

Sundown E-10/12/15 Prototype Photos
Testing 400-watt E-15 prototype in free air. As per my comments in the video we'll have 8mm more rearward clearance on production (16mm p-p) so the driver will support even more throw before any mechanical tapping.

when is sundown audio going to have some deals on here soon?
Typically I don't plan out a sale a huge amount of time in advance... kind of spontaneous. As of this moment I am not planning any sales; but you may see some pre-orders and whatnot.

No it won't -- the spacer is solid for these as the frame is already vented. Additional spacer venting would provide no benefits.

Sundown E-10/12/15 Prototype Photos
Thermal test completed @ 60 Hz sine wave : TIME // CLAMPED WATTS At ~400 the heat wasn't building up any faster than it could be dealt with as demonstrated by the minimal drop in power over time once it hit operating temp. So I feel the 400 RMS rating is well deserved -- it could literally handle that "all day" so to speak. Then we hit it with more power after the typical 5 minute test as we normally do... it took over 2 minutes at 500-700 after that to kill it. Conclusion... thermal capacity is a non-issue on this design @ 400 RMS. I have a big, long, boring video I may upload for the test as well. Little inside view after we cut it up :

Sundown SAZ 1200-D fried...can't figure out why
I haven't had much time to look at it in depth but I think it may have just been a small issue with a few tiny parts out of spec.

neo pro 8 power handling?
Your amp won't put out the full rated power when crossed over so you will be fine more than likely. Power varies alot by frequency with most of it going to low frequencies -- you would be surprised how "little" a mid sees through the crossover.
