  1. Forgot to add... the motors are identical D2 and D4 just the former diameter changed so the D2 coil wouldn't scrub the top plate.
  2. Yep! I stock re-cone parts and upgrade 8-layer flatwound coils as well. I'll soon have the 8 layers in D1, D2, and D4... just have D4 right now.
  3. Dropped some Z v.2 in there with 1 spider each... 153.5 dB on 2770 watts on my clamp. Now... to see how that scales up with more power
  4. 63.1 mm on the D2 and 63.5mm on the D4 coil
  5. They sucked... bad. Of course those had three spiders - stock - and this box is very small - so it resulting in a very low efficiency. I dropped four Z v.2 12s in yesterday with one spider each... going to see what that does later.
  6. We sent them to New York for some testing.
  7. Glad they are doing well for you !
  8. They are a new dealer through our rep up in that area -- haven't been added to the site yet.
  9. Yes, I stock parts for all of our woofers including these.
  10. About how long does it take to get it all done and sent back to me sir, rough estimate is fine? Once it gets here probably 5-7 days -- could also be less if we aren't extremely busy.
  11. I do not really suggest going too big on the box... it is all about your expectations -- while they are awesome woofers an 8" sub only displaces so much air.
  12. On your 1500D the stock options will be best -- 12" re-cone is $100
  13. Probably... was able to do 152s on a burp with two 1500s on my setup with the longer ports. So a 3000D @ 0.5 should produce over a 150 on music. I don't know if I'll be going to any shows this weekend yet.
  14. I am going to bump this up... phone call volume is up probably 1000% in the last 2 months and we honestly cannot answer it most of the time. We are VERY busy and don't have a dedicated person whose job is just to answer phones. If you cannot reach ME via email then try Brandon -- [email protected] This way you won't be waiting on me for a long time if I'm backed up.
  15. The SA line is mostly sold out right now... we only have SA-10 D4 in our warehouse at this time. We have more SA-8s both ways and SA-10 D2 due in 3-4 weeks. We have all other SA sizes and configurations in large quantity due in November. ----- Our distributor in Iowa, Top Dog Audio, has some SA woofers in stock. WoofersEtc.com also has stock on most configurations of the SA line right now as well.
  16. This setup does keep gaining with power... with the full length ports (which are 1.8 down at this power level) I have done a 154.7 before with this same setup running two 3500Ds @ 0.25 each. I plan to try more power after the show... and eventually to try four Z v.2 12s with single spiders. I tried some Nightshades a while back with 3 spiders and it was actually quieter than the SA-12s -- so I think this box needs a much softer compliance.
  17. Planning to run this setup for nSPL Finals this weekend... needed to stay under 5000 watts on the nSPL clamp meters. On my meter it clamped exactly 4000 watts last night which should be 4700-5000 on their clamps. Tuning is in the high 30s and peaks at 47 Hz... tuned to 30 Hz and also peaking at 47 Hz it was about 1.8 dB quieter but still not bad at all, IMO. I plan to try cutting the ports down a bit more to see if I can get a tad more from it on the meter... may or may not get that done before the Finals event. Best score with just me in the Jeep was 153.8 and with Nick from Stereo Integrity in it as well we got 154.0 dB -- sealed on the dash. * One SAZ-4500D chilling out on my amp rack. Running at 0.25 ohms for burps -- re-wires to 1 ohm for daily. * 3x 6" Aero-Ports... box is a hair over 6 cubes with my shortened ports. Almost exactly 6 cubes with full length ports. Team Sundown Derrick build this box for me. * One NSB-G3100 in this corner. * Added an XS Power D3100 this morning... score did not increase but my voltage doesn't drop as bad on burps and I'll be able to play music longer of course! * Standard DEKA starting battery. * External voltage regulator. * Excessive Amperage 225-amp alternator. Have been running this for about 2 years now.

  19. Sounds good on paper
  20. You still can as a pre-order for the next run -- still @ the sale price.
  21. SAZ-3500Ds SOLD OUT -- the special will remain as a PRE-ORDER as we have more coming with all the new amps. Really amazing how fast those went... I am very surprised.
  22. Team Sundown member Walt from South Carolina. 4x Stock SA-12 D4s 2x SAZ-4500Ds I do not suggest doing this to your SA-12s but Walt has been doing it for a while Video of perfect run :
  23. Per original post : "ETA is roughly the end of November for these to arrive." I typically end pre-orders shortly before they arrive.
  24. This ring is made from plastic so has no effect on impedance -- it is purely a spacer and cooling ring on the SA line. Since the NS v.1 has open vents in the frame it will likely have no effect beyond looking cool.
  25. The bolt pattern is slightly different so I can't do it - sorry! If you wanted to get a pair and machine in a matching bolt pattern I could do it, though... the rings themselves are pretty inexpensive -- just the tooling cost good money.
