  1. Drove down and dropped off the stickers in person so I didn't have to wait for them to get them tomorrow by shipping -- so I saw the SA-10s and 12s (they exist) -- but I cannot get them until they apply the stickers. Hopefully I can still get them Friday but if not early next week.
  2. Alright - update... the boxes didn't have "Made in China" on them so they are holding them until they get labels. Seeing how quickly I can get that done. Will update when information available.
  3. Doesn't really matter... Street is with the car off.
  4. I am impressed by that *laughs* I'll have to check it out for sure... this thing barely fits... the AC lines are really all up in it's business along with the distributor cap and plug wires.
  5. Why is that ? because your not allowed to beat the fender in the get a bigger battery under the hood! makes you wonder what other rules they broke to get the big numbers??? That is allowed... otherwise nobody would have a battery this size in a CRX under the hood. Per dB Drag Rules : 6-8i -- "The primary battery must be located in the same general area as the OEM battery location. (For example, if the OEM battery location is under the hood, the primary battery must be located under the hood as well. Aftermarket battery trays and/or custom fabricated battery brackets may be installed provided no other applicable rules are violated.)" * It is a custom fabricated "battery tray"... that is also not defined as a modification to the vehicle skin (per the following): "Modifications to the external OEM "skin" (body) of the vehicle are not permitted if the modification in question will result in a change in the vehicle's interior volume. The dBDRA defines the "skin" of the vehicle as the external shell (top, front, back, and sides) of the vehicle's OEM body that gives the vehicle its distinctive appearance. This is also the part of the vehicle that is normally painted. The underside or undercarriage of the vehicle is not considered to be a part of the OEM "skin"." "Modifications that are strictly cosmetic in nature, or that do not affect the internal volume of the vehicle are permissible. " * That part of the vehicle is the under-carriage and does not change the internal vehicle volume.
  6. My only plausible theory... amp took a crap and sent full rail voltage DC to the sub.
  7. Yes... "Blownest" may not be a word... but I think it needs to be after seeing this woofer. I do not know who this belonged to exactly but Nick @ SI is re-coning it at my shop today so we thoroughly documented the carnage. Just had to share. * Thats not so bad, right ? * Well... that isn't normal. * Back of the surround should be gray. * Melted material and discoloration on the pole. * Wow. * Kapton wrap of the former is melted and puddled up on top of the triple joint. * That used to be a plastic former cap from under the dust cap. * The solder actually re-melted... * Some of the solder formerly from the connection point * That should be black. * Insider of spider was burnt out. * Motor has been "anodized" with the burnt material. --- There are some more photos in the directory that I didn't link directly : http://www.sundownaudio.com/misc/SI_Mag_ASPLODE/
  8. If at all possible to contact us ANY other way do not call... the phone pretty well rings all day long and we cannot possibly answer it all day or nobody would get their products. Try emailing me, brandon, or a rep before calling... do not call unless you MUST do so.
  9. Alot more than 300 amps... the higher runs of wire lower resistance -- that is important for efficiency on one battery.
  10. Why is that ?
  11. I answered 99% of all my emails this morning... if you still have not heard from me and your email is older than a day or two that means your message was lost in transit so please re-send.
  12. PS: I sent you an email.
  13. The warranty is not voided by opening it up - as long as nothing is removed, modified, etc.
  14. Okay guys - called shipping company yesterday. The shipment is being sent into "inspection" as it was randomly selected... they arrived for inspection yesterday evening. Hopefully it doesn't take more than a day or two then they can send them on to me and I can start shipping! Almost here, so please remain patient Thanks!
  15. I have no specs on the TB ultra at all to go by... so I have no clue. Pricing is still the same on these (not pre-order pricing) -- $129 each.
  16. Early to mid July.
  17. Yes, one large battery... this particular car was already one of the loudest in the USA in Street-A and B (A requires a smaller battery). This car is alot tighter than my other CRX... peaks higher too. Should be better for this purpose.
  18. I hope so... this is the car I am making the Neo 8s for
  19. Some may recognize it * 8 runs of + and 8 runs of - wire... getting new custom copper blocks made for the battery (XS Power D3100). Street-B is the goal for this car. Should be fun ! Something I've never tried.
  20. Yes, it was received.
  21. The Neo 8s have no ETA at all... so go for Z v.2
  22. Extremely low Qts will be unavoidable -- FS will be moderate as the suspension will be fairly hard and MMS pretty low.
  23. I am quite excited about it... if everything works as well as it looks on paper it should be awesome.
  24. The coil is pretty short @ 25mm long due to XBL^2 topology -- which is why "only" a 1000-watt RMS rating. I am trying to see if I can squeeze a "mini Monster coil" in there... aka: 12-layer flat aluminum. If I can do that I think running a 2500-watt amp on one thermally would be possible... I ran a 4500 @ 0.5 daily on the Monster and for bass-race runs (149.9 from one 15) no issue... and it's coil was only 42mm long. The "stock" coil is 8-layer round copper... pretty beastly coil for the length. Oh yah... the 12-layer coil was drawn out and WILL fit this gap... so I will be testing it both ways (8-layer copper vs. 12-layer aluminum).
  25. Yep! 22 grams with the front cover assembly (metallic looking part on front)-- funny that the cover weighs about 50% of the rest of the assembly *laughs*
