  1. It is just a telephone cord. The cord may be pinched if it is protecting your amp... the remote is simply a resistor and an LED, nothing complicated.
  2. sundownz replied to Soapbox's topic in Sundown Audio
You can email Chris and check the latest -- he keeps the site as up to date as possible but sometimes things are available and not listed yet.
  3. I don't suggest doing it.
  4. No it won't like that. At least not for the long term.
  5. E8 v.2 parts should be compatible... will have to double check but I'm almost certain they are. Until then Mike Bruno may have some more re-cones.
  6. That has ended. Now 129 + SH
  7. 1 cube is fined for three sealed.
  8. The little black box is just a relay. On your test with no speakers hooked up - is the RCA also unhooked ?
  9. My SA-8 parts are in with the SA-10s -- could be early May. In any event -- if you detach a spider just glue it back down with some 5-minute epoxy. Get it on the landing nice and evenly under the spider and press it down then also lay some of top in the little valley between the outside roll and the basket landing rim. Get the kind with the long mixing tube : Amazon.com: Henkel 1060027 Loctite 0.5-Ounce Instant-Mix 5 Minute Epoxy, Clear: Home Improvement Available at Lowes. It needs to be kept in mind that the SA-8 has a *VERY* strong motor (twice as strong as the other "big boy" 8s on the market)-- so if it is pushed beyond the operating range of the spider there is going to be enormous force pulling on the spider landing. I *highly* suggest looking at the power to box size thread and also using appropriate sub-sonic filters on them to keep throw in the operating range of the spider.
  10. You could get an SAE-1200D and run 2 ohms =)
  11. you are correct my brother but a 8 is a 8. And a CRX is probably the loudest car in spl. In the USA anyway... Pandas are spanking them in Europe.
  12. Two 12s would be the loudest. The SA series perform similarly to one another so more cone area is going to win.
  13. As was said earlier... people just love 8s. The 10s and 12s actually have a larger motor and coil and more throw. But, as far as 8s go, the SA-8 is one of the best you can get
  14. Just an FYI... they can take anywhere from 1 to 10 days to build depending on how busy we are. Please do not ask for status updates the next day -- it just takes us away from finishing everyone's woofers. This goes for ANY custom job... re-coning a woofer, building drop-ins, NS v.2, Z v.2, etc. We try to keep it down to 5 days or less but it can take longer sometimes !
  15. Have a back-log of emails -- working on it. If I don't have an email on file, though, it gets pretty impossible to remember what I talked to anyone about.
  16. Please email me for pricing inquiries.
  17. I haven't heard the SD-1 v.2 in a LONG time so hard for me to compare... but, IMO, these 8s sound very good.
  18. No - the next run won't make it in time. About 90% is sold already.
  19. Sounds as if something was rattled loose inside and is connected intermittently -- you likely won't be able to find it by looking. I'll have to check it out.
  20. They are conservatively rated for 600 watts.
  21. We have a Russian distributor -- I sent you an email this morning.
  22. Please email me for purchase inquiries.
  23. Yes I do still have some -- very limited supply... they FLEW out of here.
  24. Working on it -- I will update when ready.
