I like mine. While i am at half volume there is like a 4 db difference between 30hz and 45hz but adjusting the synthisizer i am able to get it to a flatter resoonse. Also, the compressor has helped a lot. I set my amp with a tone and set the compressor up to kick in around that level, and i havent had any issues since.

I have been told to try to stay away from elbows on aero ports. You can get port noise.

Yeah, if you are serious about wanting numbers you may want to look into a meter and do sometesting for yourself.

What works for my car may not work for yours and i havent tested with the mic in the middle of the windshield. so what i have tried that works for the kick probably wouldnt help much for the middle of the windshield.

Well, why did you not just learn how to design a box? There is plenty of useful information, links, and people willing to answer questions that you could learn yourself and not have to rely solely on others. Also, maybe it is the way you have asked questions on here, any time i have asked anything i have gotten help.

I see you have a ZED Ra, i have one of those as well. What do you think about it?

Could be several things. Could be those songs are heavily compressed and have little dynamic range, so as you increase the volume you are clipping the amps (inputs, not just outputs) or running into power compression issues on the drivers.It may be due to the compression and lack of being dynamic. i remember that i looked at a few of the songs in audacity but i do not rememer much of what i saw.

I havent been able to figure it out, so i have just kept the volume down on those songs.

Hard to tell on my amp but i tried to put it around 80-100.

Im not sure it seems to only happen on a few songs, maybe 5-10, and i have played at least 500 different songs through them.

Oh, alright i understand it a little better now. My speakers, on certain songs when the volume is up, tend to be fine to a point and then part of the frequency range just drops off significantly, although, at much lower volumes it does not seem to happen. Not sure what would cause that? im also not using compnents.

That is what i was about to say. The other day i installed a kicker amp kit for a guy, the amp kit had been used and who ever used it had to cut the wire down to get it in the fuse holder. So i pulled the wire out and took out the reducer and redid it.
