  1. This. Assuming he has adequate power for these, I'd do something like a 6.5ft^3 common chamber box with the tuning he wanted.
  2. Zaph liked the SB Acoustics ring radiators...I'd give them a shot if I were in the market for a low-crossable tweeter.
  3. I'll be running a pair(if needed) of 2" Whispers on each side along with mine.
  4. I have a pair sitting in my truck...in the box they were shipping in.
  5. Definitely tuned too high IMO. Drop it to ~33hz and you'll notice a smoother response with better low-end extension.
  6. Do not use PVC and assume that you can use the same size and quantity as you would aeroports. The flare is what makes you able to use less port area with aeroports. If you use PVC you have to abide by the same rules as a slot port, as far as port area goes.
  7. Also, my truck peaks hard in the mid-upper 50's. I've tuned anywhere from 28-52hz and I always seem to peak at 56-57hz.
  8. This.
  9. Those are some really odd crossover points you have.
  10. Don't know why it took so long either.
  11. Yay, another Dcon user.
  12. Single 6" at the very least...triple 4" would be nice. I still love slot ports because length doesn't matter, still easy to build even if the port needs to be 40" long.
  13. I certainly hope so.
  14. I agree that if you're cuts are nice, then screws definitely suck tight the joints very well. The adhesive will come out of the seams just like when you're clamping.
  15. Subs forward and port up, or port to the side with sub up/forward are probably your best options.
  16. I'd take a Dcon myself.
  17. If doing a pair of 6" round ports, you need to use flared aeroports. They can be found at www.partsexpress.com. The whole 12-16in^2 of port per ft^3 doesn't apply to aeros because the flared ends make them less susceptible to port noise, so you're able to get away with less port area. I've used single 6" aeros on a lot of 15" subs and they work fine. If you want, you can use three, but you're going to have to get your own thin-wall PVC to make the ports long enough; the kit from psp allows for just 17" total length.
  18. Use a pair of 6" aeroports(real ones) instead.
  19. Mmm, dreadnought.
  20. I want those 3min of my life back, right meow!
  21. He is on a drug, it's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available because if you take it you'll die. Your face will melt, and your children will weep over your exploded body.
  22. Don't know why they had to make the dimensions so difficult...it's very easy to just tweak things a little and get solid inch figures for the overall dimensions.
