well im just starting a new build in my van and just trying to piece it together, just have it stripped down and wall frame done so i figured i should start with getting an alt ,, i plan on alot of batts also i see... 4 zcon 15s.... 17cubes.......2 bc5500s... many xs batts....in ur future lol cant wait to get this thing going!!

i have my sundown 3k mounted to the front of my box with 1 zcon 18 in it. BUT the face of my box is 2.25"s (3 pieces of birch) i have never had any problems with any amps when mounted to the box.... idk good luck man!

to b, i could probably get the zcon to sound better musocally. reasn for port being so big is this box i origionally built for 2 orion hcca 15s and it sounded GOOD. i was just wanting to save myself some $$ and just make a new face for the box. im going to eventually build a new box for it... and possibly a second 18..... o-0 lol

im runnning a sundown 3k on a 250amp alt, big 3, optima red top under hood, 2 runs of xs flex 0 gauge wire to the back and 2 c&d 270fr batters in back. i never drop below 13.4V which IMO is damn good. i used to run a audioque 3500.1 at .5 ohm (4200watts or so) and the lowest i dropped to was 13.1V so IMO, id say a big alt, big 3 and a few xs batts. xs batts are GREAT if u can afford them. the c&ds are a good second option if cash is tight. good luck with system!!!

ill shine some light on this... im running 1 zcon 18 in 7.41 cubes net on a sundown saz 3k and i LOVE it. box is 10.4cubes gross (before all displacements) tuned at 31hz (lowend MONSTER) my box has 151sqin of port area. 7.41 cubes net here is a vid i made today. phone doesnt pick up hardly any flex... anyways u can clearly see from the vid., it LOVES the lows

FI does not have speaks on the shelf, each and every one is hand build to order.... Well FedEx says it will be here Saterday and I payed Monday so im just saying what it tells me. I don't understand why you think I would make somthing so pointless a lie..... cuz just about everyone here knows its a solid 2-3 weeks from when u pay before u get ur product lol. but hey, more power to ya man!

it sounds so nice the zcon is taking every bit of it like a champ (dust cap does get hotter than frig though...... not as hot as caseys..lol)

i had a flatlyne 15 in 3.5 cubes on a kicker zr240 (around 500watts) and it was perfect. i then later put it on a mtx 1501 (1500watts) and had the gain maybe half way up and the coils got STANKYY. i wouldnt give them anymore than 800 watts each..

the sub started getting deeper and flexxing more today so i decided to shoot a vid or two. i did one in slowmotion to try out the quality of it on my phone. sub is still not fully broken in but it still gets down short demo regular.... slow motion...

oh i know its safe to beat it rought outta the box, but im keeping my amp turned way down untill she loosens up. just as i did with the zcon 15 i bought brand new awhile ago. turned out great and yeah the box is IIRC 10cubes gross/ 7.5 net. port is HUGE on this box.

id like to eventually throw 2500watts+ to her

hahaha damn u got me there. im going to wait till the sub breaks in before a vid. it isnt really loud at all on the lows yet. and dont even try and tell me there no such thing as breaking in because caseys zcon 15 sounded like poopy and was not loud when it was brand new,but after a few days of playing, suspension loosened up and now its STUPID loud and sounds like SEX haha. anyways heres a few pics to tide yall over

always wanted a sundown amp. heard alot about them and would like to try one out. plain and simple. lol plus my sub box, sub, and batteries are black. bould like to have a matching black amp to go with it all.

so i been thinking, and id like to get a nice sundown amp or another aq3500. id like to trade my w7 10 and my vfl 150.1 for a NICE sundown saz 2500 or 3000, maybe a aq3500 or simular. lmk what you all have. nothing is wrong with amp it is good to go. iv never owned a sundown amp so i figured this is my chance to get one for my zcon 18 vfl 150.1 2900watts@1ohm fuse rated for 200amp not reallywanting to sell, mainly use in a trade. jlw710 single 3 ohm coil 750rms MINTY condition will sell for $200 plus half shipping
