lol its VERY funny u said that. b/c i suggested the SAME thing either in this thread or another one and EVERYONE told me to just run it at 1 ohm to give me some lee-way for the sub.....

so if u had a "guess", what should my gain be set at AT THE MOST? i did alot of reseach on my amp before i bought it and seen these doing 4200 watts. now that probably at like 16V but ill still have around 3700 watts available. the LAST thing i want to do is over power this sub. one, idk if it can even be reconed, and two, i dont have the money to do so haha

another thing, iv heard over time, that if u put subs in bigger enclosures, that they take less power... so if i did build a nice 4-4.5cf ported box, will it only need like 1800-2000 watts?

so do u think 1 15 on 4k will be ok? lol. im worried this amp will be to much for that sub. ill just have to watch my gain closely....

Its a good sub man. Idk why you are insisting on getting more peoples opinion on it when its a new model. In the end it will come down to install anyway. These two comments are exactly correct. Especially the install part. by install do u mean the parts i use to make the system? (wire gauge,amp,ect.) im running all 0 gauge tsunami wire,260amp iraggi alt, and a shuriken bt60 battery. will that be enough for it to be considered a nice install?

ya. i may just duplicate the box i have but make it a tad longer to make it 4-4.5cf. sub forward port up seems to work best in my truck.

sounds good fellas. ill be ordering it next week (hopefully). like i said i have 3500 watts available for it if needed. now the next step..... What size box would you all recommend for this? space really isnt an issue for me. i seen it can be as small as 2.75 and up to 5CF for 1. i do have a single 15" sub box that is 3.5 and ported. also tuned very low. i did not build the box so im not sure what the tuning is at. i could use that box, or should i just make a new one????

anyone else have any thoughts on this sub??? i may order it next week so i want to get as many reviews as i can... i have a AQ3500.1 that will be pushing it.

not sure. i got the box when i bought that IA flatlyne 15. the port is 4.5 by12.5 how do i figure power area? 4.5 x 12.5 = 56.25² 56.25² / 3.5³ = 16.07² of port per cube. i thjink i have the same feeling haha. i went on rockfords box wizard and put in all the outside dimensions. i got 4.87 BEFORE port and sub displacement... what u guys thinking?? im not sure what its tuned at but i like it a lot.

well i have the box that my 10" solo x is riged up in. its 3.5 cubes. sub forward port up and i love its tuning. it was originally made for a 15.... think it would be ok? its made from birch wood.....

i have a 1995 ford ranger ext cab 4.0 v6. has 150xxx HARD miles on here. this noise had occured before about 8 months ago ten stopped. havent heard it since. they yesterday, it started again. it sounds like a supercharger and only does it when the truck is cold... any thoughts????
