  1. id like to stay in the southwest region. i only get 14mpg on a good day so gas is tight. but where can i get some info on up coming events for my area????
  2. hey guy's, i was wondering if there are ever any events in ohio. i live in cincinnati, which is the southwest paort of ohio and iv never seen any comps going on and i want to start competing. does anyone know where i can get some info on this?
  3. this is the reason i love my 65' mustang. its so simple to work on. it dont have all these sensors and shit to go wrong lol. but u need the sensors for power and fuel milage so then again.... haha. good luck on the car. i have been having simular problem with my truck. except i only get 14 miles to the gallon and its a 4.0 v6 engine....
  4. hes right. there could be a thousand different things it could be . its hard to say since im not standing in front of ur car and could look at it lol. yes, take it to autozone or somewhere like that and have them run a scanner. then come back and tell us what it is. im intrested to know lol
  5. well it could be because ur transmission is low on fluid, or its slipping. usually if ur driving down the highway, u can feel the transmission jerking and it sounds like the engine is going from drive to neutral back and forth.
  6. i rest my case. haha
  7. Literally! Did you see how many times that guy punched it? Someone needs to call the Cops and report the abuse. :lol2: lol true. see, every brand has something good to offer. except pyramid lol
  8. lol i know. i wish i could afford them. but you get what u pay for. what about 4 dcon or icon's??
  9. i have a ford ranger which is the same thing as a s10. iv found that firing the subs forward is much louder.i have 1 12" orion hcca on a mtx1501d amp and its super loud. i had 3 12's once but i could never get them to sound good. so i went wither 2 15's which was much better.my 12 is louder than most 15" truck set-ups believe it or not.
  10. 4 zcon 12's ......
  11. here is a few pic's of the first sub box iv ever built. i built 2 serperate ported boxes for 2 12" mtx 9500's tell me what u all think... Enjoy
  12. from which subs? out of all of them? ill be here all night lol. my favorite so far for both SQ and SPL is the cvx believe it or not. the l7's were just really loud and the cvr's werent really all that loud but had great SQ. the fi btl i never had in my truck. i had it in my stepdads dodge van (lol) on a kicker zx1500.1 in a 7.0CF ported box. and it would MOVE some air. haha. rightn now as we speak, my local shop is building a 3.0CF ported box for my orion hcca and i have a feeling its going to be my favorite out of them all. it was in a 1.8CFported pre-fab box and was loud. but with this new box, it should beup there with the 2 12" mtx 9500's. ill let u know sunday lol.
  13. lol ya. i got rid of the btl for 2 reasons... 1 is that i didnt have the power to push it. 2 is that i have a ranger. and there was barley enough room for a box and even if i did want to keep it, i didnt have the exp. to build a box for it. the xxx i bought off ebay SUPER cheap. i pretty much just had it to flip and make some cash for my next system. it was a monster sub indeed.
  14. hello. i just wanted to make a list of all my past sub set-up's...... as u can tell, im bored haha so here we go. from my very first sub, till now. 2 12" spx audio's 2 10" kicker cvr's (were stolen ) 1 15" kicker L5 2 15" kicker comp's 3 12" crunch groundpounders 2 15" oldschool RF (got in a trade) 2 12" alpine type r's 1 10" kicker L7 3 15" kicker L7's (insane) 1 15" kicker cvx 1 15" RE audio xxx 2 12" kicker cvx 1 18" FI BTL 2 12" MTX9500's (built 2 custom boxes for my truck) 1 15" kicker L7 1 12" Orion HCCA (currently in my truck) 2 12" kicker cvr's (currently in my mustang) that is a list of all the subs iv owned since i started getting into them. as you can tell, i used to LOVE to trade subs around and try new things.i only have pictures of some of them. here ya go....
  15. the first video is so damn funny lol.
  16. ya me too haha. the guy that made the video said one coil was already blown. he had 800 watts going to it for 30 mins before she shut down. the subs is only 600watts peak lol. this is one main reason i will always like kicker. there subs are hard to blow. i just (like 30 mins ago) put 1 12" kicker cvr in a 2.0CF ported box and i have it on a mtx1501d (the new one) at 800watts which is the subs peak power and it sounds really good. now of corse not as loud asd my orion hcca but for 1 12" cvr it wangs. and its taking everybit of the 800watts without a problem!
  17. I found this video on youtube of a 10" kicker cvr. i thought it would be a good way to show the cvr's durability haha. IT IS NOT MY VIDEO. ITS ONE I FOUND!
  18. o. my car has pioneer all the way around. they sound really good.
  19. Well I picked up 2 12" kicker cvr's for $75! Thanks for all the help on this one fellas
  20. ya i know what u mean lol. i just like a CLEAN set-up. my last set-up was a 2011 kicker L7 15 in a 4.89CF ported box on a kicker zx1500.1 and it was super clean (look in my gallary) the box went from one side of the cab to the other and the amp sat on top. it was super clean BUT the kicker had 0 SQ so thats y i got rid of it. one thing the L7 did do was get HELLA loud. it blurred my vision and thats with only 1 15. find another 15 in the 250 rang that can do that lol P.S sorry to clutter up your thread bro
  21. daymmmmm. now im thinking...... 3 kicker cvr 15's....... or 3 15" IA 187's..... lol
  22. geeeezzzzzz 270 amp is A LOT haha. i just need like a 200 amp and id be set. i just dont want to drop no 500 on a alt. lol
  23. It's hard to say if its just a local shop. Without any reviews or feedback I would personally be wary. I would be much more comfortable getting one from a trusted company online. ya i see what u mean. iv heard like 2 different systems around where i live that have there alt.'s in them and there volt meter doesnt budge even at full power lol. and even if something does happen to my alt. it has a 3 year warrenty.
  24. ya. at one time, i had 1 18" Fi btl that i was about to wall off but i wanted a back window lol. then i went two 2 12" mtx 9500's and now to 1 12" orion hcca. have u had a system in ur ranger yet? reason i ask is because i wanted to see if u have any electrical problems. i barley turn up my sub and my volt meter goes crazy and i only have a mtx 1501d (1800watts) on it. i did the big 3 but the stock alt. (95 amps) just isnt cutting it lol.
