fi btl fully loaded what size box. Gonna feed it 3kw. Please help????
There is a reason that Fi Audio puts these specs on their website. Enclosures: BTL 12 – Ported box we recommend using 1.75-2.5 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz (I personally think that a 32hz tuning is optimal, and has the most output and is still the most musical daily driving). Use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume. BTL 15 – Ported box we recommend using 3-5 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz. Again use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume. BTL 18 – Ported box we recommend using 5-8 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz tuning, you can tune a little higher if you wish but we recommend keeping it close to 32hz for a daily driver. Again the same 12-16 square inches of area applies per cubic foot of volume. I have a BTL N2 18" with a 8^3 foot box, 7.5^3 after port/sub/bracing displacement. It is tuned to 32hz.

BTL N2 18
Mine is 8 cu. feet (7.5 after displacement), tuned to 32hz, 1 inch mdf, I do not have the specs for the port, it think it is about 120^2 inches, I have the subwoofer firing up on left side of enclosure, port facing rear on the right side. Some guys on here might pitch in and say they will design one for you or build it for $. That would be your best bet, also post your vehicle type and measurements of how large it can be, be specific as possible. =]

NO Prefabs. NO Hifonics. Contact Any Of The Respected Builders/Designers On This Forum For An Enclosure Design. As I Said Before, Brand New Crescendo BC2000D For $300, Much Better Quality Amp, And You Cannot Beat That Price. They Are On Par With Sundown. As I said somewhere on another post,a local dealer of Maxxsonics (they make Hifonics), they said that 1 of every 2 Hifonics amps do not work, my buddy ordered one offline a few weeks ago, it did not work, and it had no warranty from the dealer... So look at the Crescendo BC2000d or Audioque aq2200d.- Set up
This ^, I wired my yukon xl with all 0 gauge for about 90 bucks, Your 3000 shouldn't take that much though, but defiantly look get some 0 gauge ground wire, do the Big 3 upgrade, and Fi Audio is amazing!- just a little overboard on this build
My buddy downloaded this from mediafire for me today, had a few different beats in it, bumped. Chip Da Ripper-Interior Crocodile Alligator.- Sundown Audio Rebuild - Blowthru to WALKTHRU!!!!!

I have high hopes for these amps, you did get a steal for the BC2k, My invoice for the 3500 was $580 something shipped w/ Florida 7% tax, still in my head was a good deal =]- got 3 18'' fi q series
Yukon XL? Are you removing the 3rd row? I forgot the exact measurements of the trunk cargo area, its something like 48" wide and 32-36" deep I believe. Its a tight squeeze with the 3rd row in and to also mount the amplfiers. Have you planned on how your going to mount the 18s, thats a lot of mounting area.- Fi btw n2 12 amp options
Is your BTL a dual 1 or dual 2? AudioQue AQ2200D $389.00 would be a good match. It should be available soon according to the site, 1 ohm power 2200 x 1. How is your electrical, do you have an upgraded alternator, 0 gauge ground wire, Big 3 Upgrade, and or extra batteries? http://www.audioque.com/AQ2200D-Amplifier_p_31.html Good choice with the BTL- Sundown Audio Rebuild - Blowthru to WALKTHRU!!!!!
Must have been like Christmas + Birthday x 10, love the pics- New Crescendo amps FTMFW!!!!!!!
Really ? That is pretty silly to say. LOL. I don't see the argument of having a good protect circuits is a bad thing, even in the lanes. Just because it goes into protect with you, doesn't mean its totally useless to everybody else. Agreed, this is the first negative thing about a sundown I have heard, except for their price.- just a little overboard on this build
Those xcon's are nice, on only a 1200d, I can't imagine what it would be like with more power- North Dakota Noob
- Hey im new I need help With FI BTL
Your not skimping, that "500watts" likely won't be audible, and even so, its just a rating, doesn't mean it needs 2000watts to get loud. And as above suggested, DC Power makes some killer alternators ^This, my 18 btl is run off 1500w, everybody who has ever sat in my yukon says it is the loudest system they have ever heard (even sub owners with 4kwatts + lol). Make sure you follow Fi Audio specs on the enclosure and tuning. Stefan is right on point , adding a second battery is needed, do the "Big 3" upgrade under the hood, run some 0 gauge ground wire, and later on if needed, upgrade your Alternator. Defiantly get the "cooling" option, Daily option, Universal option if you ever plan on re-coning the sub to change its' impedance, and the HiXmCoil- just a little overboard on this build
Your box looks nice so far, are you going to leave it how it is, carpet-paint or vinyl it?- BL or BTL for this amp..
BTL 15 3-5 cu. feet, BL 15 2.8-4 cu. feet. The BLs take 1000w rms, so re-reading his amp specs, the BL with 1200w be perfect.- BL or BTL for this amp..
Fi BTL in a ported 4 cubic foot enclosure with the port facing the rear, tune around 32 or 33hz for daily. You won't regret it. (give it 1500watts or more) Just like the others said, make sure your electrical is up to par, bad electrical = low voltage = clipping, which in the end can/will blow your sub and amplifier. Start off with doing the Big 3 upgrade, also, add a second battery. What gauge ground wire do you plan on running?- '07 Silverado - Murder Murder Murder
