Congrats Steve!! So, you recone 1 sub and gain 1.5db. Recone the other 3 and you'll be metering near 166dbeeez!

3 8's are roughly the same cone area as 2 10's. no parts won't be falling of your car but in a well designed box I think they will still be decent. It all depends on your expectations. And no making your whole car flex isn't my idea of a loudness benchmark. I could bounce a full 2 liter off my roof with a single 12 with 1000 watts. But all cars flex differently and a lot of it depends on install and design.

The way you have it designed in Torres you have to use an L port off one end. If you do center port you will not have 3 common walls and will effect volume and tuning. Only other thing is I'm not sure where you are mounting the subs in relation to the inner port. Have to be careful with loading issues. Looking at the port size it appears you are doing sub up port back. Other than that looks ok.

LOL thanks guys I think he did forget haha. On a side note, just finished installing my new alternator. It looks like it took care of the ghost charging problem I was having. What it would do is sit at 12.6v when first starting. Then randomly after a few minutes (usually like 5 min or so) it would jump up to 13.x then over a period of a few minutes it would creep up to 14.5V. If I turned the truck off for a while it would start back up and charge around 13.8V and sometimes stay there or it may creep up to 14.x. If I left the truck overnight it would repeat the process from 12.6v What was worse is at random it would just drop back down in the 12.x range. That is even without the amps or anything on except maybe the headlights. I've played around and looks like it is holding solid at 14.7v now no matter what I do. I was worried about driving it up to Indy and thought I'd have to take another car. So far so good!!!

Yeah I ran into the same problem. I didn't get one with the sub I ordered so I was going to order a sticker or two. For the price of shipping I was going to try and get a shirt or something too but they didn't have anything.

Been there. Drove from here to new York in the supra for a big meet. 26 hrs and a lot of miles and $7 per gallon added up quickly. But I enjoyed it so much I did it twice haha. They don't have it anymore but I have twice the horsepower now and gas is over $12 per gallon now so I don't know that I would.

I would make sure your alarm is .5 ohm stable lol It's just a 12v. Worst case you can use a relay and use your alarm output to trigger it. 2 external and 1 internal would definitely get your attention. Buddy has an airraid siren on his using a relay and a compressor. You might look into the Omega 77. It's pretty loud and annoying. Plus its small and around $20.

You can buy 2 more D2 subs and you will be set! That being said I'd rather buy a quality amp used than a poor quality new.

Those Dynapro tires are really nice. I think you will be happy with them. I would have picked up another set but I needed something a little more aggressive for off road. I don't suppose you will wheel much in the van lol.

I think he means 180in^2 of port TOTAL with 4.5 cubes of volume PER sub. OP I would go with a single sub in a 6-7 cube box, I think you will like how it sounds a lot more. A box that small must have no low end and is probably very peaky.. I thought maybe that is what he meant but then said he wanted 200in^2 for 1 18. What I was getting at was if that was really the port area then he could possibly use the box he has and redo the port.

I have a meager 2500 sqft guest house on the pavilion of my estate. Alas, I live a couple hours from Indy as well. I could take my private jet and be there in no time. If you wanted to take your car I would have to commission a cargo plane and we could parachute in. Or you could stay on my couch. It's a 2 hours away as well. Sorry to hear about your troubles Chuck. Hopefully its nothing.

Yeah the old system created a shipping label once the order was processed. They said it no longer does that since they switched to FedEx but I still got a tracking number in a couple days as well.

For the SP4 they use .65/1.27 coils. All other lines still use the .7/1.14 other than the oddball IB3 coils.

I knew it was off a drag car and you had left the inside orange on purpose originally. Or is there still more up your sleeve?

Wow I didn't realize how tall that box was. Glad it all came together! Might want to clean up the cable connections a little bit at the amp. They look a little gnarly.
