Will i be loud?

I say bandpass if you are willing to use up the extra space and play around with it. BP's can be ridiculous. I had a 4th order running an obsidian 12 and the low end was just as good as the Fi Q 18" that I was running before it- Will i be loud?
- Finally Ordered 18's again
18's or go home, lol- Kangaroux's 99 Pathfinder
You and me both lol.- AQ750
Price was dropped down to 170 shipped, something to consider http://www.caraudio.com/forums/amplifier-classifieds/555795-aq1200.html- Bass Heads Ent Robin Butler's Tahoe
Not a fan of the equipment used but it seems to be putting in some work. Stripper pole time- Rear view mirror still attached
Not me...SUV's ftw lol- Port area FI BL's
Depends what you're tuning to, the kinda music you like, power, etc.- Kangaroux's 99 Pathfinder
Put up a 145.4 @ 40hz today. Not impressed with the number but it got me a first place trophy so I can't really complain, then again the setup isn't built for metering whatsoever and I wasn't expecting a high score either. It sounds great and digs real low so I'm happy On a semi-related note, I was playing a rack city remix that drops down to 20hz and someone said my tire was shaking. I went out to check and sure enough the rear tire would move back and forth about 1/4" when the 20hz note hit- 2 gcon 15"s or 1 18" icon?
The difference in output between those 2 setups may be only like 1dB. I would go with the icon personally as it is cheaper overall to get one of those vs. a pair of gcon's. You can always make the box more efficient for the icon as well- shipping is crazy!!
I think he means 12", considering he said it only cost him $4 before shipping.- Is this true?
If your box flexes at all it can cause issues. I suggest doing this: Go to lowes/HD and go to their nuts/bolts/washers section. They should have something for rubber stoppers. Get 2x 1" rubber stoppers. Then take a hand saw or something to cut it with and cut each one in half so you get a pair of 1/2" sections. Drill out screw holes in the rubber stoppers and install them underneath the amp feet. Tighten the screws just enough so that the rubber stopper begins to compress and squish outwards. Not only does it provide the amp with better cooling, it helps reduce a lot of the movement by acting like a cushion.- AQ750
Would be cheaper to just snag a 1200 and run it at 2, plus I think the OP is running a pair of DCON's so he wouldn't even need that much power anyways from strapping the 2 amps Want to run 12" zcon d1 @ 2 ohms. Ahh my b. Kinda sucks that you have a d1 and not a d2. In that case yeah you could go for a pair of 750's then- Happy Birthday Dylan!
Happy birthday- NESPL Sanford, ME - Sept. 29
Due to the AM showers, registration has been bumped up to noon. Be there or be quiet!- AQ750

That would be my choice to. Just have to save up more money. Yep. I just wouldn't risk running the amp at .5. I ran my 2200 @ .5 daily for about a month and I was paranoid about it, checking the amp temp every 5 minutes or so. The 2200 stays ice cold @ 1 ohm, but drop it down to .5 and it starts definitely getting warm. IMO, it's worth the extra $100 or so to get a better amp that can do power at a higher impedance vs. trying to squeeze every little bit out of a smaller amp and risking it blowing up.- AQ750
AQ amps will run at .5 daily but I don't recommend running any amp at .5 daily unless you properly set it up with fans etc. to keep it cool. I would suggest getting an AQ1200/2200 and running it at a higher impedance (I assume 2 ohms?)- NESPL Sanford, ME - Sept. 29
Who's coming out to this? Gonna be held at Sanford Sound in Sanford, ME tomorrow (saturday). Should be a good show, as is all of the sanford shows. Registration starts at 11. http://newenglandspl.com/modern_corporate_077.htm- Kangaroux's 99 Pathfinder
Thanks Show tomorrow, should be able to grab some vids. I'll get em posted up for you guys- Box Calculator
Yeah port length is the length down the center of the port- Box Calculator
What do you need exactly? http://the12volt.com has plenty of box calculators for individual stuff like port length, etc. You can also check out the torres calc. I've never used it but people seem to like it...whatever you do don't touch the RE calc, it's notorious for having the measurements on some stuff be way off.- port area for a high 18zcon good bit of power
I never go over 100 in^2 for daily for 18's. For a burp box 150 in^2 would work but it would be too peaky for a daily, not to mention hardly anything below tuning will sound like junk with that much port - ssa gcons
