Check out the Sear's Diehard Platinum batts, they are made by odyssey and I hear a lot of good about them. For a starter batt, try and find something with a good discharge rate if you're going for AGM. For example, I'm running a batcap 2000 under the hood and used it as a dedicated starter batt all throughout winter. It worked great since batcap's have a higher discharge rate than most AGM's.

Wood isn't conductive (especially not at that voltage) and it shouldn't get hot at all. The only way it'll get hot enough to cause any issues is if your connection is REALLY loose and causing a lot of resistance

Probably not too good considering skars are made to play lows and the fact that it's a SUBwoofer and not just a plain woofer. The depth on that IVX is almost 6" too so you would have to do some serious door panels to get them to fit

B-stock you generally just have to email them once in a while and check in and see what they have. Jacob is too busy to bother with posting up b-stock listings and keeping them updated He actually does come back and update that post though ... FYI... He has done so a few times.... But it has been a few months since the last update on here.. Ah, alright. I never remembered him doing it at CA so I figured he didn't do it here either

If I did my math right that should be 54% effiiciency which is pretty crappy but considering it does 4k @ ~2 ohms and is rated for that power at 17v is not too bad at all. And for the record that test was done at 14v not 16v (14v = charging at 16, 16v = charging at 17-18). A few good sized batteries would be ideal for this amp but if you're limited to 2 batts just fit the largest ones you can and get some good ones like batcaps or something with a high discharge. Are you limited by cubic inches for the size of the batts (like 800 cubic inches?)
