i have it in a very good box, 2.5 tuned to 33hz with corner bracing and flush mount built by pro rabbit over on caraudio.com forums, not saying it sounds bad ever, i said it just doesnt have the sound im looking for. i got it because i wanted something louder then my w7 and it was but it had a completly different sound. Never said the bl sounded bad, just not for me

whats up ssa, alright so i see the new zcon line is going into production soon . Right now im running a 12" bl on a aq2200 @ 2ohms. Im thinking of upgrading to something with a more ouput and more sound quality because the bl's just dont have that warm deep solid sound that im looking for. Also honestly it just doesnt get loud enough for me. So i see the new zcons and there looking pretty damn good and from what little iv read about them they are sounding like something iv been looking for for a while. So my question to you knowledgable people is do you think with that 2250 watts will it get louder then the 12" bl, i know its not a spl speaker and thats fine but its gotta get louder then the bl and sound worlds better? what do you guy that have heard one think. it would be wired to 1 ohm with 2200 watts, will have a 180a hp alt with big 3 and a hc1400 under hood and like a hc1800 in the back. im mainly looking for more sound quality and able to hit those lows with authority but also have a good amount of output. Anyone with experience please feel free, Thanks

check out the aq1200, it does 1200watts @ 1ohm all day and they are great little amps for only $269.00. i have the aq2200 wired at 2ohms seeing around 1200watts and those are still $380.00 and still have 1100 watts on tap

Whats up everyone, alright so i came across this voltage meter on amazon today and was wondering what you guys think of it. Its a ciggarette lighter voltage gauge. Do you think it would be accurate? just to let you guys know it will be a power difference of double, right now i have a dual 1 ohm bl thats wired to 2 ohms on my aq2200, if i were to get a btl i would get the daul 2 ohm and wire it to 1 ohm for a power difference of about a 1000 watts, and like is aid before i will have enough electrical with a 180a hp dc alt a kinetik hc1400 under hood and a bigger one in trunk with big 3 done, i know the btl is a little bigger inside the box but thats ok because the box is on the larger side of the recommended specs that fi lists, i thank everyone for their responses and hope to get a couple more opinions about the btl as far as a daily driver and other little details about it whcih will help me in my decision

yes it is a well built custom box made for a fi bl, my goals are the same as with my bl, just to have a nice daily driver application with some authority, im going to be powering the btl with a aq2200 with 2200watts, i was asking if anyone has had any experience with a 2.5 cuft box tuned to 33hz for a btl, yes the box is braced with double baffle. the specs are the same for the btl as is for the bl as far as box recommendations so im thinking i could use the same box but was wondering what i should expect out of it. space is not an issue because it is the same box and is already in my car haha.

right now iv got a ported box that is 2.5 cuft after all displacements tuned to 33hz that im using with my 12" fi bl. do you guys think it would work good with a 12" fi btl if i were to upgrade so i dont have to buy another box. have anyone had any experiece with a btl 12" in a 2.5 cuft box? the site shows the same cutout dimentions and the same rec cuft. So what do you guys think of this desision.

yup if they were more like $50 id deffinelty try one out but 140 just to tune your system is pretty harsh

Yep any of those will sound great and get plenty loud for the power they will be getting, 12" no doubt would be a better option

dont know how many watts your amp is but if its 400 watts then i suggest getting a sub that is around 400 watts

haha which is smaller then my box for my 12" bl ....Go big or go home, yes cygnus it will work, but will it sound good? no use in getting a good 15" sub and then giving it a shit home, it will just feel and sound like pooooo

haha being that they say its ok means that it is terrible because they are trying to sell you something and if it really was ok then they would have told you its perfect but since its not ok they gave you the best answer they could which is ok just so you buy there stuff haha...goodluck on that 15

well iv got a honda civic but it does have a bigger trunk then my maxima, the only way id be able to do an 18 is sub up and port back or forward but still i dont think id have the cubes to satisfy it, that would be amazing to have an 18 but i just dont think there is enough room
