  1. wouldn't bother with the leads really. You can "fix it" how ever you want and make it work though. As for a recone. If you are just going sell it then I would say get what ever you can for the best price. If you are going to use it then I would suggest getting a 100% custom recone for what you want. Fi has some decent products, but if you go custom it will be tailored to you not a "catch all" configuration. That is an unbiased and true opinion.
  2. Here is another from later on that year. I reset the record for pro stock 0-1000. Had 2 hK4000D's(before they go rerated of course)
  3. Here is the only pic I had from a setup I used to set a 0-1000 pro stock USACi world record many years ago.....No idea were all the other pics are though... I'm not sure when this was taken...I'm guessing it was the day it was tossed in for testing. There were 3 16volt turbo starts in there for competing.
  4. Their "trade mark" does not hold up to a registered name. Audio Quest has their name registered and that is on the federal level not a simple trade mark. Their trade mark attempt last year only made matters worse as it exposed them as trying to go around the situation instead of dealing with it. Audio Quest enforced their right to have AQ change their name and ensure they are not confused in anyway with their company.
  5. Audio Quest was the main issue, but was not the only one. This has been a behind the scenes thing for a while. I don't think anyone expected them to force the change though. Not much anyone could do at that point though.
  6. After failed negotiations they were faced with a lawsuit if they did not alter their name quickly.
  7. It was out of necessity.
  8. I used to use a D600 for my term lab nice cheap laptop lol...
  9. My demo truck when at an outside show.
  10. I'm surprised it took so long to get posted over here. It is a very sad situation for JP and I just hope that Tommy makes it right by offering a very large refund.
  11. Looks good man. Get that thing sealed off and it will get even better!!
  12. Those look great man, very beefy for what they are. Let me know when you have one ready to go, I wouldn't mind picking it up and playing with it for enclosure purposes.....and just because I want to. lol
  13. Where are you going to get it from? If you have the funds I highly suggest copper if you can.
  14. Been slacking on pictures real bad around here. Hard to keep up with demand and still get pictures. I will try and get back around to taking pics though..might take some time but we will get back in the habit of it. Here are a few from the other day.
  15. Make sure you have a drink for me down there...It's my B-day weekend or I would be there as well. Should be a great show, wish I could be there.
  16. That was quick lol.
  17. 2.5ft3 is not horrible, but you can get by with less..around 2 - 2.25f3 net each would be just fine and work amazingly well.
  18. I didn't get to read everything, but when you went from the Icon to the Zcon did you get a new enclosure or alter it in anyway? That may help with some of the response issues you may be having right now. **edit** Just read you were going to try a few different enclosures. When you do could you post up some specs and what your thoughts were on them overall?

Looks good! I will get you that new design today or on Monday for you.
  20. What is the cost for the phone setup? Shoot me a pm.
  21. Interesting. I would love to do some testing with a phone meter setup. Well I would like to test the whole thing overall. lol
  22. You could just make the enclosure have a larger then required port opening and make the whole port assembly changeable. Would allow for the most easy testing and tuning.
  23. It is very hard to build for a number with out a ton of testing to be honest. I would suggest a changeable port to have a "burp" port and then a daily port.
  24. I would look into actually measuring your car out and some one else design it. The design you had us build was not the perfect world setup for those subs to be honest. Measure out your car and keep a little more distance from the back then before. I would also look to alter the port area that design had. I'm not sure what kind of space you have back there, but if you can add width or anything it would make that setup work much better. The dims you posted are right at 11.9ft3 gross before any double baffling or port/sub or anything. Also if your goal is a 150db then playing with the tuning is going to be key as well as sub/port placement. The last design you provided was not exactly correct but should function ok per your application. You may be having higher expectations then what your current setup can provide though, so that can be an issue. Do you want a 150 legal, headrest, or outlaw? Burp or music?
  25. 1.5 will be about right. I would think your meter will have an internal resistance of .5-.7 so that is just fine. Time to check for phase issues.
