That is due to the dual spaced spider -- one spider is glued to the basket, then there is a custom tooled ring, then a spider on top of that, then a steel bolt-on ring on top of the whole assembly. Actually fairly complex but gives us more lateral coil stability! looks great

I wouldn't think so but you sure it runs just as hard at 4ohm

It looks like it belongs there.with the pdx I would run with .6 cubes looks like it will fit fine

.6 is small unless your putting alot of power to it. i have mine at .8ish tuned to 35 running rated power and it loves it and sounds great and loud

what a change from the og sa8.i will be in line for some of these for sure
