It has been my experience that larger boxes play lower. I had a 2 cubic foot box tuned to 35 hz and my friend had a 9 cubic foot box tuned to 35 hz and the lows in his were way more evident and defined. But basically, like mrray13 said, the sub is able to reach xmax easier in a bigger box which raises efficiency and lowers power handeling. If you have a bigger amp- use a smaller box. If you have a smaller amp- use a bigger box. That is how the Shiva and Tempest work so well in HT applications with small wattage. They recommend huge boxes which allow them to reach full potential with 200 watts.

Nice score for 35 hz. That must be insane. Throw some late night tip on it. Whats it tuned to?

I was wondering what the consequences of running 16v in a daily driver car would be. I know the car is designed for 12v, so it probably wouldn't like it. I was just wondering if it would cause damage to the car's electrical components. <--I like that smilie

Heres my status. I just sold the kove armageddon and the planet audio tt2250D that I had sitting around. I am in the process of selling my Planet Audio VX3002, and I will be ordering my Orion 2500D tomorrow. Once I sell the PA, I will order my 400.4. I also have some wheels on ebay so I can have some money to spend for christmas shopping. I am also about to buy a pair of EQT's for $115. Finals this week too. Fun stuff. Getting the car back hopefully friday or so. For those who don't know, I had a blowout and went off of the road messing up my axle shaft and a few body parts. The car has been in the damn shop for almost a month now. The dealership is absolutely pathetic. I got some new wheels out of the deal (still had to pay a lot for them though). Some 18" chroms z06 style wheels. 10.5" wide. They look awesome on the SS. I have a bunch of stuff lying around waiting to be put on the car, and I still have to bring it to Jamie to get everything fiberglassed. Hopefully by next year I'll have everything done and be driving that around again. I still haven't sold the Z, I am currently driving it since my SS is in the shop. What's everybody elses stories?

4 gauge should be fine. Just go to wal mart and get their 4 gauge kit and a spool of wire for your components. The wal mart kit has a distro block and all of that stuff. Another place to look is www.knukonceptz.com

The gap would have to be bigger which could cause some misalignment problems too.
