Xcon isn't the only USA made sub. Check out Fi's lineup. The Q is similar to the Xcon, and with all the options should take 1500rms. SA is a good sub, but I think 1 15 on 750rms will be a downgrade from your setup you have now. Check the Classifieds, I'm sure you can stubble across a sub that will take amp for what your looking to spend. I might would even look at AudioQue HDC3. Its not that I dislike your choice, but I don't think your looking to downgrade.

Ib3 is a infinite baffle sub. And shouldn't only be used in that matter. No need to check specs, you said you wanted to run ported. IB3 isn't for you. Go with a Q. Tune low, mid-high 20s, and call it a day.

When they say it loses a little motor strength, its meant to inform people who is number chasing who wants to get every tenth they can. Even if used for SPL, cooling won't cause a big lost. With that said, for daily, cooling is recommended. You won't ever be able to tell the difference either way. But better to ask and get a forsure answer then assume because you don't exactly know.

What kind of problems? Some are trying to disrespect me, by telling anything bad they can about me, and about the ssa woofers ! Saying they heared too much about them, they only plays low notes,...But I don't mind ! I let them speak with their Audiopipe and Audiotop woofers in tiny ported boxes with hazardous tuning !!! Very few people have great sounding bass in their car, so they are jealous when they heared something amazing ! When somebody says that your brand of subs will only play low frequencies, you can tell them you want to reproduce the whole bass bandwidth, not just the frequencies that midbass are designed to reproduce.

But if it has cooling, and HiXmax coil, I'd would assume its not a SPL. So take pictures inside the vent holes. Take from multiple holes, so we can see if they are there or not.

4" thin wall, it is not exact the same, but works fine. Its rather cheap, I can't remember the price, but very very reasonable for 10ft. Its probably the closest you'll find.

I can tell you its not Cactus, SPL Dynamics, or DC for a pretty much fact. I would say its China also.

If they are MT's, they have a chrome top and bottom plate. Also, MT's don't have a bolt holding the pole in place like the BTL.
