Fs won't play that big a part in the sub bass game either So a sub with a 45 hz fs will play 20 hz just like a sub with a 30 hz fs? In an anechoic environment, no, in an enclosure is a different story. Do you listen to your music in an anechoic room? Do you think he knows what a anechoic room is? And the answer is no You would be surprised what Sean knows. Who do you think helps test and design subs with Jake? Points. That guy.

ok i understand BTL so much power 2000Watts rms that great but i saw Fs is 51hz but not much deep bass if FI BTL u are sure will do Deep bass high output will do deep bass louder ??? like FR 15hz and 20hz like that deep bass I wasn't telling you the BTL could handle anything less than 3000rms. But the other guy who doubted what I said. But to you, if you don't have 2000rms to give the BTL, there really isn't a need for it. If you have a 1000rms plate amp per say, a Q will fit your needs better. I gave you a list of which sub for which power level. As long as you keep it between the guide I told you, and isn't stupid, the one you pick will be just fine. Its takes quiet a bit of power over rated to actual burn the coils of these subs. Unless your clipping the hell out of it.

Rofl! I've never seen that one before. But why are they shooting their selves?

Fi Subwoofer
lol. Wow. I wasted my time posting. Also, the BTL is rated 2000rms before options. That's why I put anything less than 3000rms is good for it. Like I said about Fs, I'm not sure which coil specs is listed on the website. It could be the flatwound coil, which isn't going to have as good of lowend as the HiXmax coil. You still never answered how much power you will be running. I said you needed to list a couple things before anybody can really help you. Also, PMing me giving me a link to this thread telling me to reply wasn't necessary.

Mismatched Alternators
Oh no Lance, your batteries will explode from amperes overload. ROFL. Definitely the front one, 1000amps on ONE battery. That will go off like a nuclear bomb. /sarcasm

BTL is the best at what? If I need a sub to match my 500rms amp in a sealed box, would you suggest I get the BTL, no. So STFU. Each sub has its own duty and application. OP- IB3 is a infinte baffle sub, if you don't know what that means, that isn't for you. Plus Fi discontinued the IB3 and it will be moving to their HT line, BluePrint. Picking subs needs to be based on a few details of the install. Power, enclosure, and what your looking to get out of the setup. Sealed enclosure, X, SSD, and Q are the options. X- <400rms SSD- <1000rms Q- <1200rms. Ported, all will fit. X-<400rms SSD-<1000rms Q-<1200rms BL(3inch)-<1500rms BL(4inch)-<2000rms BTL N2-<3000rms BTL N3- is a SPL only sub. Also the BTL N1 hasn't come out yet so I can't comment of it yet fully. As far as Fs, I'm not sure which coil option specs are listed but the HiXmax coil BTL has great lowend. Hope this helps. Also giving us more details of the install so we can better answer your questions.

Mismatched Alternators
I don't know about that one. The manual that came with my warhorse calls for eight, 800CCA batteries and two 200amp alts. That's only for 10K watts. I've spoken with Chris at Missing Link Audio, he told me you need about 3 to 4 batteries per HO alt. I'm not sure on the math to calculate how much battery you need for alternators. One thing I do know is that Hummer that Chris has is plenty effing loud. I've experienced it in person. If he says that's what it takes who am I to argue. Since when does alternators need multiply batteries to make power? A HO alternator will charge 1 battery the same as 4. So I'm not sure why he said its a NEED to have multiple per alt. Only thing I can think of is, he meant 3-4 is ideal to get the most out of the setup. Also, just because he is loud doesn't mean you can't argue with what he says. I'm not talking about his affiliation with MLA. But just based on someone owning a loud vehicle, doesn't mean they will give out wrong info. Even though I'm not saying he is wrong. Just saying in general. Take Alan Dante, at one point he had the loudest car. If he told you the loud way to get loud is to buy a stetsom amp, would you agree? Of course not.

SICKEST SET-UP EVER!!!!!!!!! NASTY
Honestly, I feel you are getting butthurt over the fact that someone disagreed with you. Welcome to the internet Bro i get paid to make vids.....controversy sells ...people can disagree all day.....they don't have to watch or like....and i'm very well trained in the interwebz Yeah. This is exactly what I said. Disagreeing is way more interesting than agreeing. Damn.

SICKEST SET-UP EVER!!!!!!!!! NASTY
Yulp Twisted this is EXACTLY what happened to me on SMD. People got butthurt and cried like little girls. I know you don't care, but its nice to see somebody else know how I felt. Definitely when I didn't do nothing terribly wrong. I really didn't mind you making the two sarcastic videos. To a point they was funny. And I'm sure that isn't your main focus, just to make fun of idiots. But just to make videos people enjoy watching. I'm not going to lie, in the beginning, I wasn't a big fan of your videos, but now I usually watch most of the new ones you upload. Just keep doing you. Fuck the haters.

Fi IB3-18
Lol. Sweet. Sounds interesting. I really wanna see what your talking about, so make a build log. Its possible when I go to buy(most likely build) a house, in 5-7 years from now, I'll be looking to do a major home audio build. So I need to start researching now lol.

Sensitivity Spec in Car Audio : Hoffmans Iron Law Discussion
Wouldn't do any good. You would have to hang out with people who actually know what they are talking about. Lol. I kid I kid. Jake is very knowledgeable, and people can really learn a lot by just hanging/talking with him. Well if they actually understand what he trying to explain to you. Sometimes he can go way over most peoples head, and leave you dumbfounded on what he saying. I've been wanting to visit Jake again for the last 2 years almost. And I still haven't made it up there. I hope to before summer is up though. I actually have quiet a bit to discuss with him.

Fs won't play that big a part in the sub bass game either Its amazing when people only look at two specs of a subwoofer and automatically assume one thing or another. I like the 1w/1m though. No BS rating FTW.

When are the new SSD subs gonna come out?
I totally agree. They are quiet amazing. But trying to throw 1500rms at it, isn't what its designed to take. And usually moving up to the BL, you will be louder off the same wattage, and won't be stressing the driver as much. Just got to keep everything in its designated guidelines.

Fi IB3-18
I thought you said you were done. BTW - off to home depot shortly to buy the materials for my 8x18 IB. I'd like to have is all built around the time the drivers become available. There's no going back for me - I've already sold my box subs...I need to spend the $ generated from that sale on the replacement before I blow it on something else. Lol. I get carried away. I rant way to much, and do all my typing on a BlackBerry. Lol. Most people with a computer doesn't go into as much detail as I do on my phone. Make sure to post pics of the build though.

Bravox Audio In Stock | GROUP PRICING!
Ok, so the price will still be similar, since they are not totally out yet? I was thinking when y'all ran out, that was it. I hope because I really want a set, I don't have the extra money at the moment but I won't miss this chance. So I'll find it somehow. Also how much power will these take? I guess I'm asking the sweet spot.

I also loved the fact Ford was the only one who designed a Nascar motor for a long time, and it was only recently companies decided to build one. So the Chevy sticker was winning but the Ford motor made it possible. A lot of people did not know that. Those diehard Chevy fans there motor was better and fast, little did they know it was a Ford. I know the older motor(around 1998)was similar to the old school Boss 302. Small block with big block heads.

Fi IB3-18
Nick, you sir are correct. When you build quality, it cost more. Those Chevy boys just don't get that. Bahahahaha. I love Ford, and always will. I'm not a fan of all Ford cars, or all of Fords ideas, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't trade my decision to love Ford. DaveD- I have yet to see Fi yank our chains. Well once, but I won't bring that up. Maybe people forgot. I hear it still might come, just chilling on the back burner. So expect the new IB3 sub, cause its coming. I'm sure there are plenty of people, not just on this forum, waiting for BluePrint to finally come out. I know I'm excited. I agree with the race in heels part. I love fuel, and not going to like the day it disappears, I semi hope I'm not around for it to happen. Or at least a age I could give a shit about feeling/hearing my horsepower. I have a F-250 at the moment with a diesel and love it. And I almost can't imagine owning another gas motor vehicle. I wish companies would look more into diesel power for more carss/trucks than just ones that is designed to tow or haul. I think a 4cylinder diesel in a mid size truck would be great. Could possibly get 30mpg and tow whatever is feasible for the weight of the truck. And last 250k miles without a sweat. Because its getting more and more common of 200+ vehicle. Enough rant. I got a little off topic. Lol.

When are the new SSD subs gonna come out?
Why would they do that? Lol. My thoughts exactly. SSD is designed for a different power group than BL. This is the leading factor why people choose the BL over SSD. The older model SSD was a 800rms sub. Period. Sure, a few options could increase thermal power handling but anything over 1200 watts, you needed to look at a different sub. And I'm sure the new SSD is designed with similarities to the old one.

Maybe I should of been more perceive. You said these was unavailable until a US distributor picked them up. Does this mean one has? Or your getting them the same way as last time.(Which I'm not sure how) I'm hope I'm not getting to personal. Just curious. I ask strange questions. Lol.

1) - I certainly appreciate hearing something...anything. I think by now we understand the challenges of an exact date, but once a time line is established, updates need to follow as the date changes otherwise folks might think it'll never happen and buy something else. I'd rather not hear next week three or four times though. 2) - 3-4 weeks...I'll assume closer to four to be conservative. 3 weeks puts it on April 1. Do I sense a cruel joke on the horizon? 3) - is it just me or is there an oddly high number of Ford fans here? Dave Ok, I'll say this. Would you rather the company to sit on the internet all day and give updates left and right. Or actually spend time building and testing a actually product. I know a few companies that hype up there future products with tons of threads and 100s of post. To only tell the people the project was scrapped. I for one am not a fan of hype before hand. A idea, sure. But a prototype coming from china that takes 2-3months for each one. I'd rather wait till production before I actually see what's going on. 3) Ford builds the best.(For my tastes) lol.

Fi IB3-18
Nick its amazing people will spend MORE for less quality and performance these days, just because its popular on certain part of the internet. Which I know you know this by now. I laugh and turn my head. I hate when companies claim the superb quality and being custom built just because their manufacture drops in softparts. I mean yeah, usually QC is better that way than china, and if they use american softparts instead of china. But really it isn't any more special. Custom is when you can pick options that actually enhance performance, not looks. Just because you build to order doesn't make them custom either. Building X amount of blank series in a certain coil configuration to sit for months on end isn't wise. And that's why they do it, not because its custom. Fi(all associated) FTMFW.

I don't think it is. Unless it changes I don't see any real problem.

What DoubleDin Video Headunit Should I get
I'm a big fan of Kenwood. The new DDX318 is $399 through Crutchfield IIRC. But I like having a volume knob to quickly change the level. Instead of buttons which can take almost 10 seconds to go 0-wide open. That's just a MAJOR turn off. If you want bluetooth, the DDX418 has that. Or if you want the full 7in screen, check out the others. I've always had good luck with Kenwood and would pick it over pioneer. I'd love a Alpine with a Volume Knob, with the capability to integrate their new processor. I would be in heaven.
