Brian(lol same name as LB) lives in Denton. He has a dam nice big house kinda in the country side. and is far more intelligent than LB, no offense to him.

5 channel > 3 channel. If you're selling to DIY'ers, a 3 channel needs another amp to run active, and if you're selling to the "Iwanna make it go bang bang loud y0" crowd, 450 watts won't cut it. that audison 5.1k does: 4/4/4 ohm 2x50 2x170 1x750 4/4/2 ohm 2x50 2x160 1x1150 4/2/2 ohm 2x50 2x250 1x1030 would make a perfect single amp setup in a 3-way application. chit if they add an extra 2 channels on the a/b it would be the perfect amp for 4-way..using 1 amp! i dont think there is any SQ'ers (lol made up term) that would need more than 1000 watts of power to a sub.

Class C is a lot worse. I havent heard a Class C, so i neglected to mention that . I did hear a Class T amp, it was by avionixx, it wasnt bad either.

Audison did a pretty neat thing with their LRX 5.1k It uses a A A/B D class system. A is for the tweeters A/B is for the mids D is for the sub. they use different PSU inside the amp(i may be using the wrong term, maybe inductors?) for each system but work jointly. very innovative
