  1. Nice to meet you... We werent locked in enough given that there was the walkway in front of us (which was nice as it scared MANY a pedestrian when it went off). Next year we will be back with a MUCH larger system and we will make sure that we are locked in deeper in the pack (although we did have a great spot as everyone had to really pass by us). I wish we made a 10" that could do that
  2. Sounds like we could get something to fit. The largest ID we have is 3.018" so Im hoping that there is enough pole-vc tolerence to support that. The best way would be to send it in so that we could measure and spec parts from there. Thanks, Scott
  3. Yes we can recone them and we have a variety of parts that can be used for different applications. As for 2500W for daily... probably not. There simply isnt any real cooling in that motor to support it. While we could modify things some, we can machine on a premade motor to really bump things up. D1 coils isnt an issue. Does the motor have the standard 6 mounting holes on a 5" pattern or is it one of the other versions?
  4. Not a problem at all. Let me know if I can help with anything else with the project as well. Thanks, Scott
  5. Send a self addressed stamped envelope to us and we will stick a couple and drop it back in the mail for you. 4" stickers are free Fi Car Audio Attn: Stickers 5480 Cameron St #107 Las Vegas NV 89118 We will be adding an apparel section to the Fi site soon with stickers, shirts, and some other items (hats and hoodies). Ill get a post going soon about what people want on the hoodies for fall/winter. Thanks, Scott
  6. Too cool! My wife jokingly asked if I was going to carve a Fi or AA pumpkin... but I had mentioned that a couple others might and Id leave it at that Excellent use of shirts...lol
  7. With 5-600W the SSD would definitely be the better match. I believe you are the one we sent an email requesting info for the differences between shipping addresses and names (we had two others on the same day for SSD10s but not from Lizton) Check and let us know. Thanks, Scott
  8. Agreed with above... dont do the extreme leads for daily. And the pole chamfer is included with the cooling package as well. Most people tend to run about 1500W to a BL with cooling and the flatwind. There are those that run more or less as well, but it depends on your setup and abilities to get things dialed in correctly as well. 7-8 cuft tuned to 33 makes for a good daily driver that drops deep and still hits solid. Please let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks, Scott
  9. Email sent. Sorry for the delay in response we have been caught up with the SEMA show for the past week+ and are just now wading though the several hundered emails we have built up during that time. Like I have told others about doing a Brahma 18"... we can do it, but it wont be the most useful of subs going. The Qts will be high and I have always said that the 1600W RMS rating was nuts. Id call it 750W at best. Itd be an original single spider with a lighter curvilinear cone to try and keep the moving mass down. Yes, we can do it... but dont expect it to fit in a "small" enclosure. Thanks, Scott
  10. Most people are running 1500W or so to each for a solid daily setup. There are people that run more and less... just depends on your setup and listening habits. With the cooling and flatwind it takes you just about up to where the standard BTL does (at about 2000W RMS). But you will need to make sure that the gains and subsonics are set correct to avoid issues. Thanks, Scott
  11. Fi Car Audio replied to FiBl15's topic in Fi Technical
7.5 cuft tuned to 33 should make a solid daily setup. Will these be the new 6" round aeroports, or just PVC or the like? If its aeroports you can get away with a pair of them... although its less than our recommendations for port area, the flares help greatly vs a standard slot port. If its PVC, then probably 3 of them plus rounding over the edges as much as possible. Thanks, Scott
  12. It looks to be a strong amp that should be more than enough for a fully loaded BTL. Pay close attention to the subsonic filter settings as that can ruin things rather quickly if not dialed in correctly to the box with that much power. I have yet to run accross one of those amps, so I cant truly say how "good" it is, but Im sure its fine. Kinetik will help things, but 90amp alt wont keep up for too long before you start to drop voltage. You will definitely need to get a larger alt to help things along if you plan on running it hard for too long. System in general should be solid (with the exception of the alt).
  13. Thanks for your patience Phil. We just finished up SEMA and are trying to get back on top of the several hundered emails that have built up over the past few days. A. 11.000" B. 9.250" C. 14. Have no clue if its cancelled or not... but they were exceedingly annoyed with us... enough so to finally get us removed from the show. There were about 60 people yelling to let us stay and that followed Chris and the H2 out of the show and to the streets (going as slow as he could banging it all the way). I think the H2 made one heck of an impression on all that heard it (more stories about just how far it could be heard later...lol). Not sure if I got a chance to chat with you or not... but glad you got a demo of it.
  15. Sorry... AA hasnt had any of them in a long time. The new version is a decent upgrade from them
  16. Last thing I like to do is put a date on things... as it always goes bad from there. We have been testing things and have a couple of the newer versions of the drivers in the back doors of the H2 as well as one of my vehicles. The comp tweeters are working well too and we are happy in general with things. We will have the original version (with a couple of minor tweeks that still allow interchangeability with the originals) in its 7" basket as well as the "car" version in a smallet basket with grill. We are working on them and when things are in stock and ready to ship, we will post about them. Thanks, Scott
  17. they work well ported and I liked them in about 2.2 cuft each tuned 28-30 Hz for a clean daily setup. While they arent power houses, they make a VERY solid lower powered SQ setup.
  18. Yes we are working on updating it and at first I thought it was because our new web company was getting it rolling a couple days early... but it turns out that the host "upgraded" some things and dropped a bunch of peoples sites as well as screwed up DNS settings. While we have the site info to put back, they have yet been able to fix the DNS settings and accordingly we are in the process of moving the site to a new host company. Site has been the biggest PITA I have ever had to deal with... definitley more than enough of an excercise in frustration from every aspect. But, the company has been rolling along strong in its absence and we have been picking up new dealers and international distributors. Things will come back into focus soon enough Thanks, Scott
  19. Currently no poly mids... we have finished the tweaks to the originals as well as the baskets for the car version for the highline comp set. We have been testing them in the Ascendant H2 and one of my vehicles and are happy with the performance (a couple subtle tweaks from the orignals but they can be dropped in place with no issues). We are also happy with the tweeters for the set and will continue to work on the crossovers for them. Ill keep everyone posted on them, but it still wont be for couple of months. Thanks, Scott
  20. SEMA is over and we are working furiously to get caught back up on all emails. Fi is currently repairing all old Ascendant products, but that will be changing in 2-3 weeks when you will be able to send all old products direct to AAs new location in Vegas. Thanks for your patience and look for an email response over the weekend. Thanks, Scott
  21. While things are seeminngly trudging along at best with the website (our host upgraded things on the 23rd and our system had crashed because of it, loosing the initial info as well as screwing up all DNS settings, which they have still been unable to reset... we are now swapping to a new host) we are moving forward big time with our dealer and distributor programs. We just spent the past week demoing the Ascendant H2 at SEMA in Las Vegas and picked up several new dealers and distributors as well. We will have a post shortly about the H2 and the Ascendant setup in it shortly (trying to get caught back up on all emails first) as well as getting kicked out of the show for being too loud (big thanks to Chip Foose and his Overhaulin crew for that one...) In general AAs future is looking very bright and full of new developments. We will get the site up shortly (heck I even stopped holding my breath) and post what else we have been up to. Definitely not going away or melting into Fi... both have their distinct strategies and directions with relatively little overlap between them. Thanks, Scott
  22. Sent them via USPS in an envelope... should have take only 2 days and this was a week+ ago. Let me know if you get them in the mail or not... if not, Ill put some in a box and send it next day to you.

  24. We have been so busy lately with Fi, Ascendant, OEM, and two major shows that I havent posted any info about it knowing that when I did, Id have to field a bunch of questions. But yes, it is in production and all new BTLs will have it. We are currently testing twist rates on the BLs as well to see differences in cooling and air flow vs degrees per inch. When SEMA is finished up (we are there right now beating the Ascendant H2 to death) and things settle back down after a few days I will get a post going about it. Thanks, Scott
