Anyone speak French? Need something translated...
I need a short audio related video translated into English. If anyone on here can speak good French, please let me know.

Happy 4th of JULY Debut
There are a lot of people looking forward to this including myself. Transformers and AA on the same day? That's audio nerd bliss.

Wood Glue Showdown
If you don't have perfect cuts how well does Titebond work at filling gaps? That is the best part of Gorilla Glue, but it is very apparent that it isn't as strong.

Wood Glue Showdown
Pretty surprising results, I would have bet my money on the Gorilla Glue and it got its ass kicked. http://www.audiojunkies.com/blog/346 I'm going to have to try out the Titebond III on my next box and see if I like it. * Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I figured it would be the most relevant here.

ocsilloscope
I have a Velleman HPS10-SE. It cost around $160 and is very easy to use as well as being battery powered. Make sure you get the special edition, it has the backlit LCD screen. LINK I am pretty sure that is the guy I bought it from as well. Here is more info on the Velleman site... http://www.vellemanusa.com/us/enu/product/view/?id=521603

Why no dual tweeters on speakers?
Oddly enough, today I got to listen to two different pairs of McIntosh speakers with five 1" tweeters per speaker. "The five tweeter Bessel Array is combined with a precision 6-1/2" woofer/midrange driver and precision crossover network forming the common "Voice" of the XLS Series." From what the salesman was saying, some of the tweeters are wired out of phase. I listened to some Diana Krall on them and just wasn't feeling it. I was not impressed.

Why no dual tweeters on speakers?
Yeah, but you are from Florida and that is the norm down here. I should have mentioned in the beginning, I was asking this question from a home audio perspective. I understand it would be complete overkill in a car. The question was sort of based upon when the tweeter would be the limiting factor. If someone were to run eight midrange drivers with subs to back them up, is one tweeter going to cut it? I've seen tons of crazy speakers, many of them utilizing multiple drivers in different frequency ranges, but never dual tweeters. The only thing close would be a line source setup. If you have the midrange and low-end to back up dual tweeters per speaker, would there be any benefits from it?

Why no dual tweeters on speakers?
Just curious why no speaker manufacturer uses dual tweeter setups? I see multiple mids on a single speaker all the time, but I have never seen dual tweeters on a single speaker. What would be the cons and pros of using two tweeters per speaker (four total for stereo)?

my btl blew
How did they set the gain? A BTL is pretty damn hard to kill, what amp are you using?

1500D's Strapped
Maybe I am reading this wrong, but how did you connect 4 gauge wire to the speaker terminals? Probably looks weird but it won't hurt anything by running a larger negative wire in this case.

4 1500's vs 2 3000's
Jacob, wouldn't the 3000D at 1ohm essentially put out the same power as two 1500D's bridged into 1ohm or run separately into .5ohm each? Not trying to be a smart ass, just curious why two 1500D's would put out more power into comparable loads.

12's doing great with about 1.1 cu.ft. ported?
I'd do a single 12" ported, or two 12's sealed. 2.2ft^3 is barely enough for a lot of single 10" and 12" drivers, let alone a pair. Sealed pair would be the best option.

Whatever happened to those sexy drivers?
Yup, those are the ones if Lukas has the pictures right. They won't be available individually though; you'll have to buy a full Exodus kit. Might be worth it though: the Exodus kits I have used have always been stellar. Yup, those are the new Exodus drivers. My amplifier wants to make sweet love to them.

Whatever happened to those sexy drivers?
I think it was these... For some reason I was thinking they had yellow kevlar cones.

What are the two better amps
A pair of Sundown 1500D's with a .5 ohm load on each or 1 ohm bridged would do fine and come in under your budget.

Ranking of Audio Mediums?
Now I know this has a lot to do with individual preference so this will be very subjective. I was thinking today about where cassette tapes rank as far as audio mediums. I have never seen a real list broken down anywhere, just someone saying "Vinyl is better than CD's" or something of that nature. Let me know if I forgot anything, but this is what I could remember off of the top of my head (not in order obviously). How would most "audiophiles" arrange these from best sounding to worst? DVD-A/SACD (possibly separate?) Cassette Tape Vinyl Digital Storage (Flash/Hard Drive) 8-Track Reel Tape CD

what you think of my new rims for the MINI?
Nothing beats the guy that had horns under the sides and front of his Escalade in Daytona. As soon as I figured out where the music was coming from I was speechless...

What are the two better amps
Well what will the amp(s) be powering?

Sundown
Birth sheets are overrated. I seriously question whether most of the companies that supply them with their amplifiers actually test them in accordance with what is on the sheet. I've spoken with people in the industry before that have openly admitted to just writing estimated numbers in the boxes and never actually testing the specs on each individual amplifier.
