Found her walking on the street at 9:15 ... She's sleeping now ... All she's said is she doesn't want to talk to me I don't know what I did ... :'(

8:35, still nothing after over 5 hours since she got off work ... Phoned all her friends and relatives, they don't know where she is ... Cops/Hospital can't say anything ... Blah ... This isn't cool ...

6:20, still no word ... Well, my GF has been with me through thick and thin and I wouldn't just dump her over something like this, even if it does really upset me ... I just don't understand why she does this ... Right now I'm in state 4 of waiting for a loved one ... 1) Assurance - "She's just working late; she'll be home soon." 2) Annoyance/Confusion - "What the hell is taking her so long ?" 3) Anger - "Okay, it's been 2 hours now. This is pucking BS." 4) Depression/Guilt - "Did I do something ?" 5) Worry - "What if something happened to her ?" I'm such a female dog

Women are the biggest hypocrites ever ... If I go out with my friends, I have to tell my GF what I'm doing, who I'll be with, what time I'm going to be home, etc. and, if anything is different about what I told her I was doing, I'm "a lying sack of chit who doesn't care about [her] feelings" ... Today, and many other times, she just didn't come home from work. She got off at 3:30 and I just phoned now at 5:30 to see if she was still there and they said, "she left a long time ago." Thanks for letting me know you were going out and remember that we made plans ... So, it's Hallowe'en, we've already missed plans with my friends because they left at 5, and I still have no idea where she is ... And, if/when she comes home, she's going to expect me not to be mad ! /rant To sum up: 1) GF didn't come home from work or let me know anything 2) My friends left without us because they didn't want to wait 3) GF still isn't home 4) I'm home alone on Hallowe'en 5) I hate people

Tons of people have fireworks for Hallowe'en... I'd say at least 1 of 4 people ... They even sell them in Costco ...

Its face was burned and it was bleeding from the mouth and nose ... I don't think it died right away since it was in its cat house when I found it ... We're 4 stories up, so I'm not sure if it was intentional or not ... the cat likes to sleep on the balcony railing, which is probably where she got hit; that's the only place where she'd be exposed ...

Well, she finally left yesterday afternoon (Yays) ... although now I kinda miss hanging out with her ... and I found my cat dead last night ... It was out on the balcony yesterday because it pissed on the carpet ... Looks like it took some sort of fireworks to the head pucking kids ...
  9. I don't have a PS2 and the PS2 emulators suck, so I just play GT2 ...
  10. Because they don't make up fake credentials and put them in their sigs, n00b ...

This game is mildly entertaining ... Say "Ahh" and again ... PM me if you want it ...
  12. I use DVD X Copy Express and Slysoft AnyDVD to remove protections that X Copy cannot ... Of course, since 321 Studios went out of business last year, I wouldn't recommend DVD X Copy ...
  13. Depends on the type of fuse and the efficiency of the amplifier ... I'd expect output around 400 watts ... though it could be as high as 1000 watts if it's a very high efficiency class D with slow blow fuses ...
  14. Nice to see me getting hated on even on maps ... Didn't even come close to the right location, either ... pucking retards ...

*sigh* I hate my life ... I don't know what to do. Sticking up for myself just makes things worse, but being a doormat is just as depressing. I just don't understand ... No matter what I do, it's always wrong ...
  16. BTW, if you give me the power consumption rating and average daily use of each of your appliances, I can enter it into my excel program to give you estimates and savings.

    Did anyone miss me ?
  19. Not really ... Got a flu going around here that I keep getting every week My immune system sucks ...
  20. Using Incandescent bulbs, this was my approximate cost breakdown ... After I switched to Fluorescents, I saw about a $3 per 2 months drop (about $18/year; more than makes up for the $16.50 I invested into buying the light bulbs just within the first year and they last 5-10x longer. Plus, with energy costs expected to rise to 6 cents/kWh next year, they should save me even more next year.) ... This doesn't include heating (it doesn't get hot enough here to justify cooling), but I normally see about an extra $20-$30 on top of that during the winter when I have the heat on. So heat makes up about half the bill in winter. Also, you can see that my main sources of energy consumption are the computer and entertainment center, where I could really use an LCD monitor (cut consumption from 230 watts down to 45 watts per hour) and a Class D receiver (~290 watts down to ~135 watts) ... My 26" CRT TV is actually about as efficient as a comparable LCD Television, oddly enough (based on rated power consumption).

Wait a year or two and get LCD ... Much more energy efficient, smaller package, good viewing angles (depending on technology used), image quality should be near the best by then. BTW, 16 ms = 62.5 Hz, which is more than the NTSC standard of 59.94 Hz. Many forms of media actually only use half that refresh rate (most video games are limited to 29.97 fps). So to imply that an 8 ms refresh rate is SOOOO much better than a 16 ms refresh rate is pucking retarded; especially since they could lower the refresh rate on LCD, but you sacrifice image quality when you do so (of course, it makes great marketing to dumbasses ) DLPs should last ? How do you figure ? It's a new technology ... There's absolutely no evidence how long they'll last. I wouldn't get Plasma because of the energy consumption and heat and the fact that you cannot replace the pixels when they die out, unlike most other types of TVs. Buying refurbished televisions is begging for trouble, IMO ... This is a fairly large investment after all ...
  22. Or ... Keep your firewall, antivirus, antispyware, and windows up-to-date and use common sense when surfing the internet and you should be fine. It doesn't hurt to actually use good products either, especially when you can get basically anything for "free" these days
  23. I went to my buddy's house for a few weeks ... was sick most of the time ...
  24. No they don't ... I've been running flourescent bulbs for over a year and they don't flicker at all (except the conventional flourescent tube lights in the kitchen). You can get a 6 pack of 13 watt bulbs (a little brighter than a 60W incandescent) for $11 CAD here, so less than $2 a bulb, they last 5-10x longer, they don't get very hot (you can grab them even after they've been on for a few hours), and my energy bill has gone down about $3/two months using 9 of them. It doesn't sound like a whole lot, but I only live in a 1 bedroom apartment and electricity is the 3rd lowest in North America where I live (a little over 5 cents per kilowatt-hour) ... Lumens/Watt Incandescent = 12-15 lumens/watt (60 watt bulb = 720-900 lumens) Fluorescent = 60-75 lumens/watt (My 13 watters are 950 lumens or 73 lumens/watt) LED = 45-50 lumens/watt (Need at least 14.5 watts worth of LEDs to compare to a dim 60 watt Incandescent) Also, LEDs have much narrower beam than Fluorescent and Incandescenet bulbs, so they do a poorer job at lighting up an entire room (they're great for flashlights and brake lights, but not so great for ambient lighting). Also, I don't know who has all their lights on for 8 hours a day, but if you do, you can save a lot of money by turning them off I have my living room light on for about 3-5 hours a day in the summer and about 8-10 hours a day in the winter and that's my most used light. The bathroom lights are on maybe 2-4 hours a day (depending on shower length and bowel movements). Kitchen lights maybe 1-2 hours a day. The rest are used periodically; less than an hour a day average. If you really want to save on electricity, you should look at insulation, IMO. Heaters and air conditioners suck up a whole lot of juice and anything you can do to reduce the amount they have to work will save you a bundle. Also, water heaters suck up a lot of juice (insulating them can save quite a few $$$). Another biggie would be washer/dryer; use cold water to wash if possible and only do full loads. I will usually hang up a shirt/pants if it's not dirty after the day and use it again in a few days. This cuts down on the frequency which you have to do laundry. Dishwashers also use a considerable amount of energy (again, wait for a full load).
  25. No threads about me and I've been gone for like 3 weeks ... No love for Jmac
