Thanks Boss hopefully Yes for the time being ive herd some people say its not enough some say it is if needed i can order another and switch up box designs or something will be tune to 5 cf 29 hz subs forward port driver side rear if there is port noise and or poor performance i know right i hate to see what happens when they are loading and unloading them but that aside they only traveled a very sort distance so i hope all is well

Hey guys i know i may sound like a straight noob i apologize before hand but this is really driving me crazy!! I have gone step by step one for one and have isolated that the radio is the cause of the issue or the alternator, i have tried running new rca's from the head unit, ive tried pulling the eq out of the equation but still the same noise. I have tried different radios: older alpine 9887 or something like that, a walmart pioneer deck, and just today an alpine cde-123 and still the same thing!! I have two ground points from the alt to the strut tower and 2/0 from the batteries to the factory rear ground post. Tomorrow when i get home from work im going to run 2 ground leads ( just got more wire in) i have tried running a power/ ground 16 gauge wire from the rear amp distro block to the radio / eq and same deal. I also tried a new harness and even tried grounding by the firewall Im trying to avoid using a ground loop isolator but it seems like the only hope i have in a quite system P.S I also tried grounding the pioneer deck at the rcas and same thing help!! plz

the ohm load would have to end up being a choice of having one or two btls. also how loud are you trying to get ? how much space for a box do you have whats your budget? how much power do you want to run ? is it a trunk car or wall or back seat as for where the box is going to go

is there like a chart or maybe a rule of thumb for power vs wire size ratings?

my bad i got caught up with work wonder why i never got email resposes hmm but here are some pictures of whats in there atm.. what i use to set my gains.. the 320 amp alt the sa -12s box tuned to around 35 hz my two batterys 2/0 welding cable thats All i gots for now should be more to come as i get it on a side note should i fiber glass the spare tire well into the intrunk box or would it cause more issues then benefits??

I've run my Zcon 18 on 5k for sometime, but it takes some experience to run that much power without any problems. If you plan on running a ton of power make sure your box is on the small side.. I've learned this the hard way when upgrading power. Lower power = Big box, Lots of power = small box. Current lead time is about 3 weeks excluding weekends. ahh thats better then 4 weeks gotcha trying to get a bit wider port then what i have probably going to build a in trunk box once i completely finish the electrical upgrades I'm running 1200 to mine in a 6cu box So I think you will be ok. But will be running 2500 soon. A few other members are running 5k (smartly) 3-4 weeks would be good estimate i plan on up grading to around a single 5 k once i get rid of these amps and subs (sa-12s) still dont know exactly to what atm though

Well as the title says just payed for 2 12 inch zcons dual ones The Car : 94 bmw 325i Electrical : xs power d3100, xp3000, mechman 320 alt. 2/0 welding cable in the rear soon to be 4 more runs of kicker hyper flex 2+, 2- for a total of 6 if needed Amps: pair of planet audio bb2400.1 strapped @ 1 ohm (.5 per amp) Subs: soon to be 2 12inch ZCONS dual 1 the question 1 : will this be enough power to push them ?? q 2: what do you guys, girls run to your zcons ?? q3 : how long was your build time for them ?? if you remember that is any info is appreciated

so after reading around alot i have came up with this my tune was wayy to low so i brought it up to 50 hz also made the sealed chamber 2 and the ported 2.11 tuned to 50 hz here are some pics

well according to this calculator that i have and the specs you gave with 1.5 inch thick wood you have a gross volume of 20.42cf with sub displacement around .42 <-- not sure on this number it says your net volume just for subs is 13.06 ft^3 and a 40.09 hz tune.. with 35 inches high 9 width and 20.5 length port (you gave a port length of 38 but you have to take wood thickness away being its a 1.5 below and on top..
