  1. not nearly high enough:(
  2. so.. got home from work yesterday, found these waiting for me mli's. going to be used in a 3 way component set:D got a hell of a price on them new from mark:) great guy. cant wait to try em out.
  3. yes.. do taht mark.. and soon. i need a few sets:)
  4. awesome! lots of ed hate around (justifiable!) but im ALWAYS happy to see some one happy with there system!
  5. and you STILL dont know a fuxkin thing about this stuff.. i dont know why pap wastes there time on you
  6. CANNOT wait to see this! i love mach 5 and mark.
  7. Just a fyi, pete designs a jacked up folded transmission line. If you would follow the guidelines in our tech section you would likely have better results. It's all in the install, our woofers work well within the spectrum that we state in the tech section...when you start doing weird stuff like pete does you are on your own. BLASHPEMY! pete is GOD! (sarcasm obviously) nick is right. follow there recommendations, and get better results, or hey, keep buying into the pete hype, and good luck to ya:)
  8. if it did as good as these test say it will, id probably pay a discounted price to keep it, but i dont expect anything for free, our friend snoop pretty much destroyed any chances of that happening lol i'v only seen the 18" in a wall ported for music... id be happy to put the SPL 12" or 15" through the passes for Mach im sure with the specs posted in the Test it will do fine for SPL if the 12" will take 5k and not maxx out im stoked problem with this is.. yuou have 0 idea what youa re doing! look at all your past posts. you are teh uber-noob. WHY would m5 give you free equipment?
  9. neat. to bad most people just want to talk and wont actually buy anything.
  10. LOL yeah. It looked promising. I wonder what it could do with a Icon or Fi BL recone. Hmm now ist got me wondering if i shouldn't take a trip out to whereever this guy got them just to blow them up so that i can recone them. Cuz damn that motor was badass why drive, when you can get them from konaki themselves for like 135 shipped for the 12 (7elephants.com) and user decado has 2 taht were made into 10's with fi recones.. he absolutly loves em!
  11. make a proted box:D
  12. good for you? seems several here have..
  13. Sundown SPECIFICATIONS: * Type Mono Class-D * 1500 watts x 1 1 ohm * 800 watts x 1 2 ohms * 400 watts x 1 4 ohms Rockford Rated Power continuous power 500W x 1 @ 4-Ohms 750W x 1 @ 2-Ohms 1000W x 1 @ 1-Ohm From Where I am sitting the Sundown looks like a way better amo which is actually rated 100 watts less than the Rockford. I know all the Rockford disciples will disagree however we could always compare old school power cheater amps with the new stuff then and see who will win then. My whole point is if it doesn't look best for Rockford than it is BS. Grow up and accept there will always be something out there better than what you have. Just my 2 Cents worth. Have an awesome night. Z huh? not real sure where you are going with this? i RUN zenon amps right now (zenon makes sundown..).. great amps:) however.. the test is more than biased.. the sundown is rated at 500 watts MORE than the rf.. don't try and convolute the facts.. cheater amps have nothing to do with this test, do they? and actually.. 100 watts at 4 ohms difference, 50 watts at 2, and the sundown edges out the rf by 500 watts at 1 ohm. not a fair test.. all there is too it:) have an awesome night. C
  14. so.. an amp rated at 1000watts, vs an amp rated at 1500.. yeah, pretty fair test:rolleyes: lemme guess, the sundowns were louder? i personally run zenon amps.. great amps, i previously had rf's.. both great amps, worthless test, though. anyone can see that:)
  15. I'm sure you will:laugh: you cant handle any criticism, lol. don't worry, ill stay away from your "cool" new forum:laugh:
  16. I hope the thread stays open for a bit. I'd like Steve to post the MSDS info for FatMat. I would very much like that myself:) i wont run fatmat, actualy, im more of a "second skin guy" however, i would like to see the difference. adn rudy, again- you are far from an expert.. i do thank you for the tests you did, however, i take them with the same "grain of salt" as the "12" test session".. good reading, no more, no less. and you act like a 10 year old. is that really needed? attacking mark based on his products.. very immature:)
  17. gmonk.. i dont like you on the other forums.. why would i tolerate you there as well? no thanks.
  18. wow.. rudy.. and again, you show your arrogance. you do tests IN YOUR KITCHEN. stop acting like a god. you are far from an "expert" on sound deadener. it makes me sad, actually, mark certainly didn't insult you, nor act childish. you are very quick to get "up in arms" about a comment, that was in no way inflammatory. if you cannot handle that.. maybe you should rethink your presence on the net? not every forum is going to "kiss your ass" (as you claim you do not) because of a homemade, relatively worthless test:)
  19. As am I. Nobody is more interested in having another good sound deadener company around. Those that think I have been too harsh may not realize how badly FatMat has behaved in the past. its more.. your snide comments towards 2 well respected members of the board than fatmat..
  20. Hmmm... Well, *you* did start the tests didn't you? It is *you* who wishes to continue testing it, correct? *You* did say it was a hobby after all, and I recall you even state on your site (more than once I believe) that the tests you perform are unscientific. No company is obliged to send you anything, and that is a fact. Regarding ethics, I know where I sit. I think you should question your own, especially since you, rather forcefully I might add, requested *free* product from the company you have been badgering for awhile now. Funny though, you say you are 'well known' in the industry. Do you not have a friend who can order it on your behalf? Rudy- I'm with these guys on this one.. you have always seemed to be a stand up guy, but these posts.. wow. your arrogance is astounding! you bash a company (maybe for good reason) and then want free stuff? WOW. as far as mark's ethics.. i have dealt with mark personally (as have many others here, iirc) and from the mach 5 business front.. OUTSTANDING service, and a very nice product, at a more than fair price. his ethics are just fine from my experience:) yours.. are now in question. i also will throw it in.. ill gladly order you some fatmat.. however, i will need to be paid by you in advance:) pm me if my services are needed:)
  21. bingo. yes he does. gmonk- thats gonna sound horrid.. you should like it
  22. the exception would probably be the spl 12. i would bet the recone price is around $100 on those;) and i must add.. i got my one in today, on limited power. WOW. REALLY considering buying a few more of em:D very impressive, to say the least. I guess, it would lso matter "where" the recones are coming from. if it comes from ssa shop (usa) it may be worth it. but if its straight from mark.. well, shipping from canada is a bitch:(
  23. you say that every time hicks tests a driver.
