well my last didnt have one and to be honest considering the equipment i knew it could be better..and when i bought one it was like day and night..

so buy adding that i wouldnt need a epicenter or xover of any kind?

hi everyone im tony and i just wanted to introduce my self..i got into car audio about 15 years ago but i never really wanted to learn how it worked you know like installation i always just went to a shop..so this time i really want to do it myself..my first system was in a 1984 oldsmobile delta 88 2 door..it was 2 8'' orion subs in a ported box with stock 6x9's and a pull out radio from a volvo..lol and to me i thought it was the best thing in the world..after a few years i got really busy in my life and didnt have the time or money for it then i got back in around 2001 and decided to go big so i went with 6 jl audio 12w6 and 2 crossfire 1000watt amps and it went in my 1998 denali and it was great..loud and very clean..then has usual like everyone else i thought it wasnt loud enough so i sold the subs and amps and went with 4 jl audio 12w7's and 4 1000 watt autotek amps..and holy crap was that a upgrade..fast forward to 2007 i sold the truck with the sounds and now im back to do a little better and louder..so here i am hoping to learn a bit and make some new friends..thanx guys..

if you guys were in my situation out of the component systems that SSA has which would you go with on a $1000 budget?
