  1. damn that pic of it in the rear really shows just how big that amp is... It looks like a freaking suitcase... If you don't mind posting Steve what is the electrical gonna be like extra alternator, Batts runs of 0/1 etc etc
  2. Yeah I like the 9887 and would probably pass on the h701... The reason i was looking at the 87 is the same thing you both mentioned.... 3 way and 7 band eq along with bass engine pro. I figure that deck along with my sundown 100.4 (crossovers) would make for a pretty solid sounding system...
  3. Damn man ok got scared there.... A sweet ass vid of those bad boys doing something nasty to like a store business window or something....... *bookmarking this thread* Keep them pics of the install coming though... a lot of your work gave me tons of great ideas for my own install...
  4. PROMISE VIDEOS STEVE ! I WILL HEAR NO MORE OF THIS UNLESS YOU PROMISE VIDEOS !!
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON I'LL HAVE A COUPLE FOR YOU !!
  6. I'd get a dual two wire it in parallel to get close to 2K on that bad boy... Plus if it ain't enough you could always add another 2006D on the coil for close to 2600 on it... If it's a fully loaded BTL you could get a dual 1 and another 2600D and get close to 4K (i say close as i believe the HiFonics amps are a bit OVERrated)
  7. yeah i was looking at a new alpine deck the 9887 ... Any thought ///M5 on that deck ? sorry to pick your brain but you seem to know a thing or two about car audio
  8. what amp you got
  9. Static i believe AA will have 8's out very very soon

buy the Bl's Put them in a recommended enclosure hook up those two Rockfords to them then sit there while your head is vibrating and when the lows hit hard as hell ask yourself if it was worth the $170 dollars more ...

Lots of things contribute to "volume" of a system... Not just the enclosure but the systems electrical, tweaking and etc...

If you got a HO alternator and some dry cell batteries and a few runs of 0/1 I'd be cautious cause you would in fact be capable of 1600+.... Though I believe the Q can comfortable handle upwards of 1500
  13. I'll probably show up they still slam hard as hell just wish i could've demo'd the FULL IMPACT of the sub...
  14. Called Alpine tech support.... I asked for the senior tech in charge to make sure i get the most accurate answer... apparently i need to buy the RUX-C701 as the CDA-9857 can NOT control the h701 settings period... the only thing the deck can control on the H701 is turning it off and on as well as bass/treble/fader/balance that's it everything else will need to be done via the controller... Damn that's a pretty penny if i want to use that
  15. Damn and just when one of my amps is out of the car... Phillip is he for sure gonna be there Sunday 9-12 ?
  16. thanks Aneon I been searching around (I have a CDA-9857 alpine with AiNET)... On my headunit it has a switch for the AiNEt labeled EQ/DIV or NORM In the manual it doesn't come right out and say "this unit can control the pxa-h701" but it does mention some retarded chit like this WORD FOR WORD When an ALPINE Ai-NET compatible digital audio processor (PXA-H701) and a DVD Player (DVE-5207) not compatible with Ai-NET are connected, set Digital AUX to ON to enjoy 5.1 -channel surround. and in the rear it doesn't say the exact model but it does say this (the picture portion of the installation) 19. AiNET connector Connect this to the output or input connector of another device (equalizer, HD radio module etc) equipped with AiNET. Crutchfield says i can http://www.crutchfield.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/c...mp;i=500CDA9857 but you know how that goes LOL Some people say can't some say can some called alpine and they said can some called alpine and said they say can't WTF gives Thanks...

I'm atleast happy he found something before Ngsm got to him
  18. alpine pxa-h701 How do you set the EQ stuff ? And DO you NEED to get the ALPINE RUX-C701 to control the thing or will a deck with Ai NET input do it ?
  19. Well i suggest these Autotek MM 1000.1D 329 Hifonics BXi 1606D 265 any lower in price you'll be getting into "no no" amps....
  20. If it bares the Name SUNDOWN it's not only a great amp but backed by some OUTSTANDING customer service.... Contact Denim he can hook you up
  21. I have A/D/S 346cs Component set.... these are the 6-1/2 set (the most expensive one they have supposedly) I am looking to ditch the passive X-over and go all active... Question is power I want to get a Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 and go Bi amp on the components Rear channels midbass Front channels tweeters.. Does ANYONE know if EACH (the tweeters will see 100 watts each as the woofers will see their own 100 watts) these components handle this wattage ? The set handles a wattage of 120 watts BUT that is together as a set and i have no idea if it handles the same wattage by itself ? I know I know you are all probably saying why don't i contact the dealer... Well this is the beaut of it all I DID and this is the response i got.. Hence why i am now asking here Do you guys think it can handle the 4 x 100 power of the sax-100.4 ? In another forum a guy said he was using a 4 channel amp rated at 100 watts and they take them nicely... but honestly some of the people in that forum are (as ngsm would put it ) idiots..... If anyone has a clue please post up... If not i will just have to rely on my DMM gain matching and ear to help keep them above water so to speak
  22. Now that's the chit MArk DAMN love'n the window flex
