  9. Hmmm Any of the experienced guys please chime in... Taking away the account of the weight of Baltic Birch vs MDF.... What (if any) advantages in sound does it have ? I've heard a difference in particle wood vs MDF... I have not heard any difference in MDF vs HDF... will i hear a difference between MDF and Baltic Birch ? All thing being equal.. is a layer of Baltic Birch as rigid as a layer of 3/4" MDF ? I've heard from my local woodcraft guy a layer of 3/4 Baltic Birch is as strong as 1" MDF... T or F ?
  10. W O W is all i can say... S E X E R
  11. Happy Bday Nick... Without you i would be lost out here in hawaii he he
  12. what you got for electrical slbazer ?? You have it wired right if i read your post right.. sub A1 + to sub A2 + to sub B1 + to sub B2 + to amps + sub A1 - to sub A2 - to sub B1 - to sub B2 - to amps - or do you have one sub per speaker terminal on the amp have you DMM the 12V power wire at the amp when playing the song to see if there is a severe voltage drop ??
  13. price as well.... Damplifier is less expensive (at least for us in hawaii)... Damplifier pro is more cost effective... It's almost 1-1/2 times thicker then dynamt extreme for slightly more...
  14. oh lol thought NS was a typo like the "took 2 pf the subs out" pf = of... the final load of the speaker wiring was checked with a DMM to read 1/2 ohm ?? Protect when bass hits... Do you have a clamp ? What is your electrical like (obviously you have a 16 v batt but how many, HO alternators etc etc) ??
  15. Jake if you ever come to hawaii... I know you won't want to leave... and after we are done with you... you won't remember much LOL
  16. is that the orion 15.2's ?
  17. Happy Birthday Jacob....
  18. You see those things about tinsel leads and recones cause they don't HIDE anything... If JL had a similar way of handling warranties their forum would be littered with the same threads... as would any subwoofer manufacturer... I work at a shop that is authorized RF dealer and i see about a pair of subs a week come back for warranty... Fi may be fairly new (2 + years) but the owner has been around for many years. not just owning RE pre 07 and helping it rise to the top in the lanes but has been developing subs for some time now... not only does scott make Fi subs, he OEMS for 3 other companies.. that's a testament to his background knowledge Everything is not hidden here because this is a stand up company.. More importantly scott listens and takes in input from us Customers... In it's infancy the BTL had an issue with tinsel slap... that was resolved with a change in the tinsel make-up... And that happened cause scott allows all things to be posted here so he can take it in and improve on an already great product.... this is pretty good testament of the type of company they are... your concerns are well warranted... i felt the same way... I am glad i decided to give the company a chance... I bought my first Fi a month after they opened and never looked back... i haven't used any other sub in my ride since and work at a car audio shop with top brands like RF, pioneer, crossfire and Focal... Still find that Fi has a great product for a great price and with a great warranty/customer service... It may take long for a response but the company has definitely grown since myself and a few others have seen it when it first was opened.. one thing is for sure... You WILL be happy with what you get from Fi and the best part is, you'll be happier should you ever need to resolve an issue with your purchase...
  19. i'm looking for one too kickin ??
  20. but you took the equipment out right
  21. You could also purchase a Matrix Line driver. Great for upping the line voltage as well as getting signal cleanly to all 3 amps
