  10. hmm so do you think id be better off leaving the tweets high in the door or as part of my pod once i get it made? Right now i like the sound where they are but i def need inprovement on my setup
  11. what about those whole upstage tweets? Just wondering because i currently have the tweets high on the door and when i finaly get pods made i wanted to get tweets in them as well. Im not sure how much if ill even like the tweets on the bottom but theres only one way to find out and i can always disconnect them. lol ill stop rambling but i was just wondering because quite a few companies sell the "upstage" kits
  12. sry for the delay sent the e-mail a few weeks back.

  14. just wondering why no mdf? why the hate?
  15. If your woofers are pointing inside the cabin instead of the back your going to want to eliminate sound going backwards (causing cancellations)

    damn sweet
  17. lol using 8g as speaker wire is fun... especially when ur wiring in parallel
  18. not sure what u should do... XXX have plenty of midbass but thats all they really excelled in. and i myself havent really be satisfied with the midbass from any cdt speakers (except the m6+ or 06+ but they dont do well midrange wise) except the es 07s are boarderline. I like plenty of midbass so im going to run a seperate midbass driver. Its really one of the only ways unless your willing to compromise the midrange

I know scott already replied but.... maybe its just me but a few weeks doesn't really seem all that bad. if you were looking for something a little easier to replace and all then walmart has tons of insignia subs in stock waiting for u. even rated the same 2k
  20. should have got a 15 then.... I got a single 8 sitting where the back seat should be in a coupe (temp) and it sounds louder in the trunk then anywhere else... the beauty of cancellations means no bass
  21. both brackets were custom built
  22. ya sry im using my stock alt along with an externally regulated ohio gen for my second alt
  23. more power... my stock 105 amp alt isnt going to do quite enough for my t30001bd sub amp and even if they made high output alts for the 2.0 ss supercharged (which i haven't seen a reputable company do so) i would probably loose a bit of idle power. Either way a 245a alt plus the 105 is going to give me the most power... not including the fact that the new alt is externally regulated so im getting a 16v charging system and keeping all my idle power and my car should never die from the system (haven't figured out how im going to wire all the highs amps thou) Either get amps that support 16v for the high freqs or run those amps on your 12v system. thats the beauty of it... the batteries im using are hc16v with the 3 post... so i can put the entire audio system on the secondary charging system (while keeping the highs amps at 12v) but my dilema is trying to keep everything running smoothly. The 2 16v batts and the 245a alt is enough to keep the sub amp happy but if i start adding more on to that its eventually going to strain a bit plus i would be wasting the upgraded battery and wiring on the stock system. My main goal is to prevent voltage loss as best as i can and im pretty sure i have enough power with both alts and 3 batterys to do so but im unsure on how the best way to approch it to get that goal. One of the main problems im looking at facing is the way the highs amps are going to be mounted and all im not going to be able to play around with it easily. So all that wiring is going to be semi permanant
