After my 1 day spl build with a loaned RE MT i have to have bass so im going to be getting 2 of these subs soon. so im just wondering the differences between the old XXX and the Q? which would handle more power which would sound the best and which would be the loudest (theoreticlly) my amp is a T30001bd with a birthsheet of 3688w

oh lol i got it confused with the rd audio spl driver (i think the initials are similar). Id honestly love the efficency but it sounds like its a spl driver.... now id love a fi q with a btl motor, quad coil, and the honeycom cone (think scott could build me one)

We now have available a SPL package option for the WMD 15's. They feature a glass/cabon fiber honeycomb cone with a tall high excursion foam surround. The lighter honeycomb cones increases effeincy by 3 db over the standard WMD pressed paper cone and add 14 sqaure inches of cone area by incorperating the tall surround. looks like the SI mag is out due to D2 only that makes it a lil easier but not really... so should i try rd audio and see what there worth? go with the Q for sq reasons? take the DD and just have sq on the back burner? or try and find a pair of re XXX's which probably wont happen

Im having a hard time weeding thru everything to find the best of the best woofer for my application. It seems as if i get a different answer from everyplace... So ive decided to ask seperate questions and be more specific in my application goals (and poll as many peeps as possible). Box will be ported using 6" areos. I want a pair of 15s that can accuratly reproduce all bass (especially the lows) @ a 4 ohm load on my amp. At that power i want to be able to go to an sq comp and win. But i want to be able to take it down to 1 ohm and run like meade... subs must be able to handle the power at 1 ohm and sound as good as possible. im interested in trying one especially since im still so confused on what woofer i want but my amp is rated at 3kw with a 3688 birthsheet @ 14.4 i know i wont see birthsheet power for a while (planning tons of electrical mods) but i dont want to kill the woofer

any idea on aprox power handling?
