ive owned a saz1500v2, sax100.2. sax125.2(for about 2 weeks) all were better than any other amps ive had. ive never really owned big name amps but wanted sundown because of the name sh*ts legit. sexy too.

hey guys, so i decided its time to upgrade my headunit to one with 3 preouts. y splitters just are not a good thing.... im planning on buying a kenwood excelon. i have to sell this one first. so i may or may not post it for sale here. most likely not because i dont have paypal. i never wired it the way you said shizzzon, sorry i took the headunit out to take pics and never got around to really troubleshoot. i am 99% positive that i have bad signal because of the y splitters since thats what they are known to do.. PLUS my supertweeters are getting distorted.. i think i blew them lol. or bass blockers broke idk.. buttt its christmas time... and im gonna get a good deal on rims! as soon as i get my rims i will make a build log for the civic.. mechanically, cosmetically, and of course audio!!!! i dont get on this much anymore i rarely have time to be on the computer but i will try my best.

Has anyone heard from Derrick lately? He has not responded to my emails regarding whether he received my money order or not. I went to usps today to get a tracking on the money order to find out.. i have to wait ten days to find out if the money order was or was not cashed.. But damn no emails or anything for about a month. We just want our money back now. it was too much of a hassle to try and get some shirts.

lol i hope the way you said it is right then id call you a f*ckin genius! i cant right now because im doing a research paper thats due tomorrow and its already 10:33!!! EDIT: wait if i do it that way the wrong tuning is going to go to my stuff because on channel 1 + 2 is my midrange and channel 3 + 4 is my highs...

thats how i had it. rca from headunit to bass amp, rca from bass amp to mids/highs amp, then i had to use y splitters to connect the first two channels with the last two on the mids/highs amp.

they sound fine to me, just sound underpowered. but i know what you mean. i did a quick check on the rcas, afterschool ill check them better. yeah its ridiculous how much different the sound is. ive never hooked up a 4 channel amp for myself before with y splitters so this is fairly new to me. ill check my headunit as well. i really like my headunit and wouldnt want to get rid of it, but maybe its time for a headunit with more rca outputs..

i have yet to buy a DMM lol but i dont think they'd be blown..they're brand new.. i checked all the wires and everything is connected, solid. but if they were blown, doesnt that make them sound horrible? not quiet?

get some earthquakes! lol edit: earthquakes really arent that bad, they are like the cheaper version of selenium. their supertweeters arent as loud as selenium supertweeters but their mids are pretty punchy. although i dont know what selenium mids sound like, i imagine they'd be punchier. good sq too in my opinion. good luck!

yes i am using y splitters and yes gains are the same as when i first installed the amp. i know i heard that y splitters arent good but i had no other choice because i dont think im upgrading my headunit anytime soon.. (i only have one set of rca outputs on my headunit) headunit features are the way they were as well. but it couldnt be the y splitters if my bass amp works perfectly fine...right?

hey guys i have a couple questions regarding my mids/highs amplifier. i have a kicker zx 350.4 its the 06zx 350.4 model , this one http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6748_Kicker-ZX350.4.html#tabs i bought it used for $100. it was in excellent condition. only had it for a little over a month. this amp was a beast! my mids and highs were very loud when i first had this hooked up!! but now, my mids and highs seemed to have gotten quieter... my bass is still loud. to check, i unplugged my bass amp so i can just hear my mids and highs and experimented. id have to get to volume 45 on my headunit to make it sound like it did when it was at volume 28 when i first had the amp. so i tried a couple of things.. checked my wires, checked the ground, checked the amp tuning everything seems to be fine.. idk what happened, is it possible that my amp is getting weak? btw gains are half up now, which wont hurt the mids and highs but they arent as loud as they first were.. can anyone help me please?

what i don't like is certain car audio companies over-rate their products and certain customers really wont know until someone opens the door for them and shows them a whole new side of car audio. I started out thinking kicker was the BEST thing out there. Of course, i didnt know what sundown or ssa was at the time. but i still know people that run around claiming they have huge 5000w+ systems. Of course, im in high school and they are teenagers but these car audio companies really fooled them. they hear my system and become really impressed and they ask how many watts im running. i tell them straight up two amps rated at 400 watts each. when i tell them that they think im joking lol, then i have to explain rms, peak, rated, brands, what they claim, blah blah. sometimes i just refer them to this forum lol. my friends and i are pretty much the only people at my school that know about sundown, fi, dc, ssa, etc. and besides that, people around here like to drive big trucks with pa horns.

lol i've never received a shirt with a order. i'm thinking maybe it has something to do with usps not sending my mail because i sent a check for my car bill to the car dealership a couple of days ago and they said they never received it.. although, derrick hasn't emailed me back in weeks. again not trying to sound arrogant or anything i just want to get this straightened out lol.

I ordered two shirts from Derrick. (sundown audio, purple) almost 3 weeks ago. I paid with a usps money order i have the receipt. i mailed it on a friday (nov. 11th) derrick and i emailed, he said he can have the shirt to me within 3 days receiving payment.. that was the last email i received from him which was almost 2 weeks ago. i havent received my shirts yet and i emailed him to ask if hes received my money order and he hasnt emailed me back. i understand it was just thanksgiving and black friday but i just would like to know whats going on and if my money was received and if im getting my shirts. has anyone else had trouble ordering shirts?

The whole intake system can.... I realize that. Lol. He wanted just the drop in filter... and it was a fucking honda civic... with a huge P.O.S. wing that MUST improve aero dynamics... and the spinner hubcaps that are just amazingly badass... Lol I'm getting a k&n filter in my Honda civic xD along with a new k&n exhaust system.

Well bringing this back up... I never did get the bulbs, yet lol. Around here, you see big lifted trucks have HIDs and it helps us alot (guys with trucks) with hunting and trailing. Some people don't understand and think we're just arrogant teenagers trying to showoff. My dad made me get HIDs cause I'd go out in the woods with my buddies alot and it was extremely helpful, kept me more alert with the big vision lol.
