A photo tour would be awesome. It really isn't what you would expect- I imagined a huge building with machines and assembly lines, and was really supprised to see what it is in reality. Scott really does a whole lot with what he has there Not talking it down their facilities, but talking UP their work, and the fact they can pump out the volume they do.
  2. It makes me wonder how many people lie as they sell stuff, or are just that ignorant? Oh well, I'd better hurry up and snag that one with the performance specs lol.

A contest (kind of) that was going on a while back, Scott asked that those who won posted pictures when they receive the shirts.
  4. I'd edit that personal info out, just don't want the wrong person getting ahold of it, you know?

I ran out of time to carve more pumpkins, but I had to get this one in Hope everyone had a great holloween.
  6. Looking very good- lots of skill goes into cutting something like that perfect. Reminds me of new yankee workshop- that dude loved biscuits. Can't wait to see the finished product.
  7. 33hz would sound much better for music. If you are going strictly for spl your 'sweet spot' can be effected by small changes like different size boxes, different subs, etc. If you want to compete and compete only tune to ~40hz in order to peak effectively at 46-48hz. If you just want a great groundpounder 33hz would be much more ideal.
  8. I've had several people say a torn manilla envelope will keep it straight on some of the other lines- you could test that. Scott would know something for sure.
  9. It all depends on how you are with the gain knob. If you konw what you're doing you can easily give the sub 4000 watts, but if you are unsure about it I would stick around 2000-3000. You can always turn the amp down.
  10. Why not put 15s in there if you have the room? Looks good other than that.

  12. User error>product. "i would still go BTL its a tough woofer and unless u do something seriously wrong it shouldn't have any problems is my assumtion right?" I believe strongly that in the wrong hands anything is possible. I've had this conversation so many times: 'X sub was supposed to be good, but it blew after only a few days/weeks." "Well did you set the gains and subsonic filter properly?" "Yeah man, I set the gain 3/4 of the way, the bassboost 19/20ths of the way, whats that other filter thing?"
  13. ^agreed. I'm not going to assume anything from the title. "im looking for some good daily driver btl are the xxx by re audio thx" the btl is not the xxx if that's what you're asking.
  14. steve much like me, lives in california....shooting someone trying to steal your property gets you prison time... I've had thousands of dollars of stuff stolen before, and here in SC if you're 'protecting' yourself it's ok. I'd do the time just to prove my point too... Steve, if you ever need any help on the site let me know- I was a programming major a few years ago, and have designed several websites for schools/businesses. Love hardcoding html/css, if I can help out shoot me an email to [email protected]. Things are looking incredible on this build btw- great job as always

Great job on those! I might just have to do a fi one too I did a pirate ship (the black pearl), but it molded up.. I'm going to do about 2-3 more though- I LOVE halloween, it's my favorite holiday. Let me upload a pic of that real quick... There we go: . That ones a bit off topic, but I'll have to upload the fi one I'll do BTW- a jigsaw makes for QUICK work on a pumpkin
  16. ^If toyota is the only way you'd go there's only a few cars in the line-up to consider, so pick from that. Thare are lots of used options in that price. The trailblazer will fit them- might have to do a pac-man style box, but they can fit.

I just wanted to say thanks for the Fi apparel! I received the shirts days ago, Monday or Tuesday, but with my work schedule this week I haven't had a chance to get online to post the pictures yet. Scott- it's much appreciated, they fit great, and for the time being fits these guys as well
  19. It's often better to leave room between the port and any obstructions, but if that's the design you've desided to go with, then roll with it. It might not have the smoothest response, but it should be loud. I like mine in 5ft each, so as long as you try to stay close to that I'm sure you'll be ok. 32hz sounds great for daily imo, and the min. port area recommendation is 120sq for 10ft net, and 160 max. I think good bracing and a beefing up the baffle will do you good as well. Good luck- make sure to post pics!

This would be perfect! my cousin is looking to get some 18s and was stuck between the ssd and the bl, this should help him decide Now if he can get his vehicle straight before its over that would be great!
  21. wow lol, I swear I triple checked that it said pm- it seemed unreasonable to wait 2 minutes, but obviously I was wrong. If you're looking for sq just make sure you tune 32hz or lower. Most people say sq, but want a bit of a mixture between sq and spl. You should be happy with around 2ft net (give or take) and about 25-30sqin of port.
  22. You might be better off going with an amp that puts out the power you want at 2ohms instead of the 4 amp idea. I've heard people say they ran those amps with success at even .5 ohm, but for how long I don't know. I wouldn't run below what its rated and expect great performance or longevity from the amps. It might be more cost effective to buy btls with the coils you want if you are set on the 4 2500s. Good luck!
  23. You waited less than 5 minutes between posts?! ....................... I doubt you'll tell a difference in 3 sq of port, but I'd go with the larger one if possible. The size of the port will very depending on the box you go with anyway, I'd just go right down the center of the recommendations- and if you aren't happy with that try again.
  24. I think you'll have a problem. I would leave atleast 10" of depth for the sub, and that doesn't seem to be enough. I could be wrong because its hard to tell looking at the drawing, but why not shift the sub more towards the top- with a less severe angle? Where's the port in all this too? Top/side/etc?
  25. That would seem to be enough port area (max recommended for that airspace is about 56sqin), but that box is on the small side. I would give them more air than that, but you could always try it with the thought that you still should build a bigger one. It will give you an increase in output, but it will sound pretty different from the sealed box you currently have.
