I am currently running a single Dayton Titanic 15" for my HT's low end. I would like to get some input on which line would work best. I would love to sport some AA in the house. The 15" is currently in a 3cf sealed enclosure. After sub, bracing, and amp displacement, I would estimate internal airspace at 2.5cf. I want to increase efficiency as well as increase displacement w/o sacrificing the lower frequencies. I know a new box is in order. I have quite a bit of room to work with in the living room. I was thinking 4 15" drivers sealed. But I may be dreaming. The current sub integrates very well with the front L/R/C channels I have. I guess I just want a bit more output. Can this be achieved? I have 1060watts mono to play with. I am currently crossed at 80Hz with a 12db/octave slope.

Paying a shop to do an install for me.

I would go with the Q as well.

I think he might have missed that the OP has 2 mono amps. In his application, he would need 2 dual 2ohm Q's. To the OP. Def try them ported if you have the room. I have my pair of Q 12"s in just under 4cf after sub and port displacement. I like it.

With that power, go for a single daily BTL.

It is difficult to tell you exactly as each box will have a totally different in car response. How are the Germaniums doing?

I say sell the sub and just buy another sub. By far the least expensive option. JMO.

Fortunately I haven't had this happen yet. I would simply sit them in my car for a listen. Rainbow Contours mix well with the Q's tuning IMO. Silly uninformed shop owners.

I love my Q 12's. As far as your choices, the Q's have the cone advantage, obviously. They have a price advantage, assuming both are bought at retail or close to it. The Q's have a slight weight advantage. IMO, the Q's sound every bit as good given both are in a properly tuned/sized enclosure. I have only ever heard a XXX 12" ported. I def liked it. However, it was for all of the reasons above that I chose my Q's. Haven't looked back.

I have the video camera and the tape with the videos from SBN in my hot little hands. Derrick didn't have the out/rca cable though. Do you have any cables or do I need to buy some? I just reviewed the runs. Best videos yet IMO.
