  1. Yea, I'm really curious to see how it turns out. Those are some pretty cool woofers.

I'm aware of another, which I won't advertise. It seems they are popping up in a couple places. I don't imagine they are "copycats" per say, it's just the OEM selling to other companies. Although they appear identical in makeup, I still like the sundown. Great company, great service, from what I can tell. SUNDOWN ALL THE WAY! I also am curious of your opinion on the situation Jacob.
  3. Fair enough. ETA for Canadian ones?
  4. Awesome! I'm excited!
  5. Looks pretty good man!

Yea, that really sucks. I feel for you man. I hope paypal can get your cash back.
  7. wow, looking good man!
  8. I have had first hand experience with both the MAW-15 and the AA Assassin. I'm currently running a MAW-15 sealed for my HT sub. I find that it is VERY clean and goes quite low considering the sealed box etc. I also made a box for a sealed 12" Assassin for my buds car. I was fairly impressed by it. It was pretty clean, and went fairly low. Not as low as I would have liked though. The 2 MAW-15s should go quite a bit louder. As far as sound quality goes, the transient response on the Assassins is comparable to that of the MAW, except for the lows (~30-35hz). At least with the experience that I have had, and what I have noticed. Both great drivers for the price, but I'm a huge MAW fan and I imagine that you will see an improvment in the SQ. Good luck on the project. Make sure to let us know how it turns out.
  9. Yea, 130 is a ways off 140. 10x the acoustical power. But good luck, I'm curious to see how it does.
  10. SWEET! I'm excited.
  11. This whole logo thing dissapoints me. I like the look without a logo. Sigh...
  12. I would love to see a MAW 8. I'm very happy with my MAW 10s, 12 and 15. I would like to see an 8 with a half decent sensitivity. Hard to find. But I'm not too picky. Mainly, I would like to see an budget 8 priced similarily to the MAW line... if not part of the MAW line (hint hint). I'm guessing you are planning for a possible 8 for the high excursion line. Curious to see what you can come up with. Just hoping it's not tooooo expensive, although I'm sure whatever you come up with will be more than reasonably priced.
  13. HEY someone else from Edmonton!
  14. Canadian pricing? if possible.
  15. Yea, I personally would go with the Maw-15, but I wouldn't have bought the perfects in the first place. But yea, build a box for em and see if you like em. If not then toss em and grab a Maw. Don't be too lazy to try em out first.

I have used the Maw-12 as a ht sub and my box is ~ 2.5ft^3 tuned to ~ 25hz. It sounds great, and goes low. I'm quite pleased.
  17. Thanks topgun, I thought I was the only one that liked the dados. If I'm making a half decent box that needs to last, I always use dados. They make the gluing easier too. Except I'm too poor to afford a fancy table saw and a dado blade so I just use a router haha but it works.
  18. I estimate it'll cost something... Loyd L. Well aren't you clever. I was thinking the exact same thing.
  19. Price estimate?
  20. Can't wait to get my hands on one!
  21. I must say, the basket and motor look very nice on that thing. Can't say I'm a fan of those foam surrounds though.
  22. Awesome! That thing is a monster Interesting finish on that basket. Can't wait to see some specs!
  23. Just curious if we are anywhere near seeing this driver, and if so, do you have any information about them?
  24. Keep us posted on this thing
