  2. Read scottiej's post above, he is the SSA powermaster Rep.
  3. Thats true, The guy thats gonna build a ported box for me said I dont need SSF its a "myth" lol.. and im not gonna take a risk of destroying my subs because my amp doesnt have SSF You don't need one. Amps were made for countless years without them and subwoofers survived. As long as you're not wailing on them too far below tuning, you shouldn't have a problem. I'd run without a subsonic any day with any drivers in any vented enclosure. I did it all throughout the 90s, and sometimes even today, and never hurt a driver. It is a useful tool, but not a necessity. That's a very good point (unless your me and running over double the rms of the driver)
  4. I'm amazed you could get two 15"s in a mustang trunk, was it a fox-body? lol.
  5. Check your grounds and speaker wiring.

  7. Solving For Length of Vent or Port Note k values: vent has one free end and one flanged = 0.732 vent has two free ends = 0.614 vent has two flanged ends = 0.850 Where Lv = length of port or vent Dv = diameter of port or vent Dmin = minimum diameter of port or vent Np = number of ports or vents Vb = volume of box fb or Fb = tuning frequency k = end correction factor Sd = surface area of subwoofer Vd = driver displacement volume Xmax = maximum linear displacement of driver
  8. If it were me, I would get two sae-1000d's unless the price on the saz-1500d was still under budget.
  9. You'll get there I'm getting closer, I have to overtake nick from Fi next, lol.

  11. I've never had a problem with a memphis product to date, it's a very good entry to mid-level product. Kicker l7's aren't even reconable and I have heard bad things about their customer service from a shop owner. Of course what I have heard should be taken with a grain of salt as I haven't firsthand dealt with Kicker's customer service.
  12. Just a heads up, Nick rarely reads his pm's it even says so in his signature.
  13. Aaron, I see you in one of my myspace car audio groups.
  14. This is true but along with that goes the notion that members need to use the report post to moderator feature as we can't exactly hit every thread every day Oh I know, I have long since passed the ability to keep up with all topics, I hope I did not come across as inferring all mods read all topics. (Maybe 5 years ago I could have expected that. ) I know this board is much larger than it used to be, but using that view new posts tab makes reading posts really easy. I probably just have too much free time on my hands though.
  15. This is true but along with that goes the notion that members need to use the report post to moderator feature as we can't exactly hit every thread every day I read every thread every day. I guess I'll need to report more. I generally only report people that attack or slander me.
  16. Too many factors to accurately answer, as said before car audio is 90% install.
  17. We as a mod team need to start splitting those topics and moving the negative posts into the test section. I want said job but I'm not a mod
  18. I'm at 2k!!! Oh and my tops, lol
