  1. Slandering a company on their forum isn't the right answer. Try emailing Nick, if you have a hotmail/gmail etc email it might get in his junk mail. Being pissed off just makes the day longer. I don't know how your system was set-up but surround failure is not normal. It is normally a symptom of over-excursion from a woofer playing below tuning. Not to mention clipping signals as I'm sure you like your woofers loud. And that Lanzar amp isn't known for sending the cleanest signal.
  2. Oh, and you will need to run a second set of rca's from your amp to run active. Use the rear outs for the mid-bass and the front outputs for the tweets. It will make all 4 crossovers available from the deck.
  3. 1. back to the inputs. you can see both ends of the RCA in the pic. 2. I don't have a multimeter at the house but i'll be sure to check it tomorrow. I wasn't sure, it looked like it. I'm not sure if the rca's re-routed to the same is good.
  4. You will probably only see ~1700 watts out of that amp, but it's better than lanzar.
  5. have you tried emailing Nick or Fi in general.
  6. Where is the output set of rca's going to. Recheck your wiring for impedance loads.
  7. Oh no, I am sorry to hear that. It's cool how would an explorer fair in SS1-2?
  8. the whole thing about this question was my box tuned to high to do a hair trick or move air, or was it just to close to the hatch? if you didnt think this was a logical question then what are you doing reading it? my tape messure went MIA, so i dont have the demension jus yet FYI: I didnt buy this sub for sq, i bought this sub for SPL. obviously if theres no air moving theres no PL. correct me if i am wrong. OK, you're wrong. In my street A car, there wasn't any air moving, but it was loud. I have a feeling either your driver is port starved, or has too big of a port. On top of that fart boxes generally don't do hair tricks, I believe if you ask around the people doing hair tricks in a daily vehicle will be tuned in the mid-to-high 30's.
  9. What kind of processing do you have available? Zapco D650.6 would be my suggestion if you haven't already purchased processing. It has digital crossovers you set with a computer.
  10. The size of the enclosure determines efficiency for the most part (every woofer wants a different box). Box size also determines output at lower frequencies, a big sealed box will get very low, and require less power to do so.
  11. It should be fine, I used to run a saz-1500d and an eclipse ea4000 off of a 80 amp alt and factory battery.
  12. What is the coil configuration of your Q 15's?
  13. Here you go, and just listen to the mechanical noise my subs were making.
  14. The 1500d is bulletproof if you can keep your voltage above 11.8 consistently. It will void your warranty though. I have a lot of experience with 1500d's at really really low impedances on a stock electrical system. Just remember if you break it, you have to repair/buy your new one.
  15. I hate being jobless, it's day 1 of job searching and I'm bored as hell with nothing to do. I was going to build a new router table but it's raining again and I try to do my wood-work outside.
  16. Yea, Ray you can use your controls to create a SSA album and you can link them from there as well.
  17. That and cutting 6 inch diameter pvc isn't always fun.
  18. Woot Jacob.
  19. Let me know when the van is coming to NY, lol.
  20. I would be perfectly happy with a 6 channel that did 20 wattsx2 @ 4 ohms, 80 wattsx2 @ 4 ohms and 120 watts x2 @ 4 ohms. It would plenty of power to cover 30-30khz.
  21. God, I could use one of those to cheer me up right now.
  22. It has a lot to do with the power demands most consumers want. A 5 channel that does 100x4 and 1500x1 would probably sell, but Sundown would have to have it cost ~the same as a sax100.4/saz1500d combo. Or 100x4, 1000x1 cost the same as a 100.4/1000d combo. A lot of 5 channel/6channel amps don't have enough power for what consumers think they need. The Memphis belle being one of the few that had the power, but you could buy 2 better amps for the price of a belle.
  23. Aaron, I downsized my dreams to SS 1-2. It just seems like a better fiscal decision. Oh and I got fired Today. Looking for a job.
  24. I feel bad for ramos, I have to finish up my front speaker install in my brothers truck sometime. I'm not motivated to actually make the baffles so his front co-axial aren't running free air as they are now.
  25. Shit, it means I would be facing T3 audio/ Team Rooney. Damn him and his 165's...
