  1. I tend to steer away from XBL2. Details ? Personal preference and I guess some what comes with it. SSA will not have an XBL2 driver. How about just an under-hung, large excursion driver, something rather efficient like a pro-audio driver?
  2. Fi Q Mach 5 ixl Although your question is rather empty and is honestly not going to get you want you want. Instead you should ask: I have 1000 watts at "x" ohm load, what sub would you recommend that will be loud and boomy. My budget is "y" dollars and I have "z" ft^3 of space to put the box. It will be (ported/sealed/ib/4th order etc), and my goals are as efficient as possible to get as loud as possible with the available power. I (do/don't) care how musical the sub is as long as it is loud.
  3. Low to many of us on this board isn't achievable (realistically) in an automobile, short of a full size bus. I consider subsonic frequencies to be "low"
  4. So how big should I make my theater/listening room. I have up to 270 ish sq feet. The room I measured out yesterday is currently 120 ish sq feet. The room is currently 15'x8' 2 of the walls are foundation, they are concrete. The 6' ceilings are also going to make acoustics interesting, I plan on at least doing something with sound deadening and putting in a real (and flat) ceiling.
  5. That's right. Water retention... the reason for so many life threatening conditions... That's why we have people on Dialysis to remove the excess fluids their body is retaining. So basically what you are saying is that your water either contains sodium or its marketing bullchit. Water is all your body needs from a drink, pure H20 is better for you than anything else. (oh and most bottled water contains more impurities than tap water because it is not held to the same purification standards by the FDA.)
  6. BOW-CHIKA-WOW-WOW Slowly but surely getting there. We are definitely getting closer...
  7. I think I'm really starting to like one of our new RT's at work. I drive her home after work most mornings and lately I can't seem to get her off of my mind.
  8. LOL... 110% HCL doesn't sting. Depends on molarity.
  9. Just got mine, uploading pics now.
  10. Yea, from reading that I would want a line array, my room is horrible for acoustics and the $$ it would cost to do the acoustical treatments to my room outweighs (at least in my eyes) the cost of doing arrays.
  11. WHat is the cause do you think? That's pretty nice. 1) Finally installed a 02 sim for the 2nd 02 sensor (3 of them on the exhaust) to rid myself of an 02 code from removing one of the two cats (but I just did that on Friday, so I've only put on ~100km since then). 2) I've started using 5th gear when I'm above 25mph if traffic is flowing well, since the Spec has enough torque not to lug the engine at that speed. 3) Alignment, front had slight toe out. Yea, I know having a standard is soo easy to get good gas mileage on the highway. This week I got 28mpg and I'm working on better techniques for city driving. It's really a crap-shoot though, depending on how many redlights/stoplights I hit.
  12. for multi channel, i'm grabbing a zapco 650.6 My sub collection is a 12" type E, 12w0, 10" Diamond D1 and a sd1-12
  13. I hear you there, they look very promising. I will probably pick up a few to expand my sub-collection
  14. I presume that it could. It is a sound quality woofer. It is very linear and has a decent amount of x-max. It's loud because it is efficient. anything above 60 hz isn't subwoofer territory though.
  15. wow... long night
  16. Ohio Gen is the best. yea i checked out there web page and they do look pretty solid im pretty sure that im gonna go with them since powermaster does not make an alt for what i need they referd me to denis"at"mechman.com which im sure since they prefer him that hes good but i still think im gonna go with ohio gen they have great customer service. Audio Obsessions deals with ohio gen almost exclusively due to their c.s.
  17. Ohio Gen is the best.
  18. I believe the Q will still get reasonably loud in a ported box on the larger of the recommended box sizes with 500w.
  19. I can't wait for mine to show up. Even though it's just going on a shelf for now.
  20. powermaster alt and battery (probably 2 batts) and you should be fine.
  21. Oh and any economic band-aid that could fix this now would probably lead us into another great depression. And I wish gas was only 4$ a gallon.
  22. We export our oil, we make more profit off of it that way.
  23. Nobody has any input??? How about a solid design for 2.1 cabinets? My reciever is http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/product...mp;CTID=5000400 I can upgrade that too if necessary. Would be for movies, games and music sometimes.
  24. That's pucking awesome. I just laughed my ass off.
  25. Some southern states (cough texas cough) promote the use of bio-diesels.
