Welcome to the IHoP
The Jeep patriot has the perfect spot for an 8" sub. Can't wait for my SSA one.

The future of SPL
Let's look at some of these sentences: SQ is 95% install SPL is 95% install. SQ is a component set a low frequency capable sub-stage and countless hours of tuning. SPL is a sub-stage, lots of power and countless box variations normally based on trial and error testing. SQ is for the owners enjoyment SPL is for the owners enjoyment SQ is sanctioned and judged SPL is sanctioned and judged. SQ is rather user biased SPL is definitive on a mic I don't think that SQ needs to cost more than spl. I have done both and my sq car cost me less than my spl car to build. I had to build 20+ different boxes and did a ton of trial and error testing. I have heard factory sound systems with awesome SQ (albeit lacking the output that most 21 year olds want). I never grew up listening to vinyl or stereo set ups. My first experience with a sound correct room was at the age of 17 when I was touring an acoustical engineering firm in NYC. The acoustical engineers actually made a comment about the sq to spl trend in car audio and he compared it to softball vs. baseball. Almost completely identical just a few minor different theory changes. The point is spl isn't easy at a world finals level. SQ can be perfectly easy at the local/regional level. Just look at the bug that had the stock speakers a year or two ago.

Welcome to the IHoP
I'd love a Chrysler discount, in particular if the SRT's are included Sorry to hear about your neon though I can get discounts on srt vehicles as well. I almost jumped on an 05 srt-4 acr, but I was rebellious and moved away from home to prove to my dad that I didn't need any help to survive. It opened my eyes a ton.

Forum is broke...
I was worried last night, glad my home is back.

Welcome to the IHoP
My turbo'd neon frequently was driven until my goodyear f1's were showing cords.

Welcome to the IHoP
I guess I'll pick up a few of the ssa 8"s and see if I can't do a stealth build.

Blew the motor in my neon (bearings failed, bottom end ruined) The car isn't worth fixing even though I have a freshly built motor and transmission sitting in my garage for neons. Benefit of having a father who works for chrysler is that I should be picking up my brand spanking new jeep patriot soon. I know it's not a camaro but I need a daily driver now that I have no car. And I get the thing cheap b/c of my dad's discount. Not bad a 21 year old kid buying a brand new car on a whim and not killing myself financially.

Welcome to the IHoP
I have a feeling my Dad is trying to get me to buy a jeep compass as a daily driver. The new sunset orange looks pretty good.

Welcome to the IHoP
I have an anschutz, a japanese light weight rifle set up for sport shooting. An older 12guage, pump action I believe winchester made it. An m1903a3 Springfield made by remington with plastic body that weighs precisely 9.4 lbs and is about 2" off of a perfect balance (used for drill team which is spinning and throwing rifles in timed precision.) I'll get some more details about my .22's next time I see them while i'm at grandma's. I can get some pics of my buddies gun collection too. Which Anschutz and who's sights do you have on it? When I'm at family dinner on Sunday I'll break them out and take pics and refresh myself on details. B/c of some family issues we are not allowed to keep firearms at our house, plus Grandma lives closer to the range. I haven't shot in almost 3 years now. I miss it. I do love throwing my m1903a3. Nothing like a good upper body workout while showing off to your friends.

help with enclosure
The way to really set it is. Burn tones from 40-20hz. Go down in frequency until the sub starts moving very little, now slowly go down 1 hz at a time until the sub starts moving pretty good again, now turn up your SSF until the sub cools down and isn't moving a ton.

q rattle?
check the dustcap, make sure it's not loose. I'm sure I can post a video of what a loose dustcap sounds like tomorrow when I'm home.

q rattle?
What size is the enclosure (if ported what is it tuned to) Where is your sub-sonic filter set. How much power are you feeding it.

help with enclosure
I would start with your subsonic at tuning, or just below. 30-32 hz would be a good place to start.

Welcome to the IHoP
We have a bunch of hospitals in the area (like a 30 mile radius) Samaritan St. Mary's Memorial (mine) St. Peters Bellvue (maternity) St. Jude's (child cancer specialists) Albany Medical Center (has a heli-pad and is a teaching hospital)

Box build yet again -- Need Help
Noticeably quieter to the ear, but probably only talking a decibel or two in actual difference.
-
Welcome to the IHoP
Sounds like a pretty bad accident, my hospital doesn't have a heli-pad.

hertz vs CDT
The mille stuff is rediculous. I'm sad that they don't make their 22" IB subs anymore though. I was impressed with the 3-way system as well.

Its been awhile...
If you want to use the Alpine H701 for processing, I would aim for a double din that has an optical output if you want to use the h701 to get the full potential, but it isn't necessary. There are a few processing options, from what I have read the 360.2 can do an active 2 way. I'm sure audio-control has a processor that is capable of a 2-way. As of right now the h701 reigns king in processing.

Box build yet again -- Need Help
If you are going to fire up, I would port back.

Installed SAZ 1500D...Now Engine Noise???
Check your battery connections as well. Remember that you may not have had the noise with the other amp because it was drawing less current. I am inclined to believe it is an RCA or head unit grounding issue.
