  1. If it were up to me, I would choose dominick iraggi alts, albeit some delays in production sometimes, than ohio gen, but the high price and excessive amperage. At least you have an option. For my set-up Dominick Irragi is the only one who will build me a big enough alternator. Ohh, and that's a 180 amp. (The largest alt built for my car)
  2. i really enjoyed the turbo beetle while i was in canada.

Can't wait for an amplifier review (personally wouldn't know where to start when reviewing an amp) Bet you couldn't tell from my sub woofer review.

  8. The Q and Bl are basically two variations on the same level of woofer. (like mitsubishi eclipse and eagle talon). The Q is made to be as linear as possible and some just amazing, it does get loud and low too. The Bl is made for those who don't necessarily want to take the step to the btl level, can handle more power than the Q, but at 1000 watts, I am willing to guess the Q will outperform the bl in output due to the stiffer suspension on the Bl. SO my recommendation would be to get the Q.

  10. damn good avic d3 price.... I can't even say what I am getting mine for, but good price.
  11. Like my older DD m1 they have yet to send me an RA # for... LOL
  12. I have another two- two and half years before med school. I already have a car, just really trying to decide between buying a 98-02 ls1 camaro or doing a ht set-up
  13. the truth is I am not really set on 7.1 just like the reciever and would like to try it. My budgets are never set, and I will always overshoot my budget by about 33%. I could always do a projector, I could get one off of my dad's work for pretty cheap as they sell off used equipment at the end of every year. I am just looking for suggestions, I don't even know if this is going to happen as I want to buy a car next year too, before I start getting swamped with medical school.
  14. and a 42" tv isn't a final solution either, I could easily get a 56" non hdtv for cheaper than a 42" plasma lcd. Or I could always go with a non flat panel tv and go bigger for the same price... This project is currently in a thought stage, so pretty much everything is up for change. Right now my goal budget including tv is 5 grand for equipment (not room construction as my grandparents own a construction company).
  15. msrp: 175 dollars per woofer. was doing mid 40's in a ported enclosure in the trunk of a neon, high 39's low 40's with a sealed box.
  16. Jacob, can't wait for mine!
  17. here is a link to a video of the first set-up: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...eoid=2026515661
  18. yea, generally you can turn your gains up slightly more in 4 ohms than 1 ohm.
  19. yea, you can get the sundown audio sae-1000d from the ssa shop soon.
  20. For competition I will be running 2 runs of 4 (one per amp), and possibly adding more later this season, or just switching to 1/0 when I switch to my new car.
  21. I think they are over-priced and need more time on the market to find all of the bugs.
  22. stratus is that your custom 4hp in the background, i wanna see pics of that beast!
  23. I have tested a z1 and loved it, they do crazy numbers well over their rated 3000 watts rms, but getting one from DD and getting one repaired are the hard parts.
  24. I'm, sorry for not clarifying either. Yes I know the funky ceiling will be a problem, Will probably being doing some acoustical draping. I am building the room sometime later this year, That first dimensions were the total dimensions of my room, I will be sectioning off part of it, just haven't decided how much of it. Thinking about doing a little less than half of it at this point, so closer to 2500 sq feet.
