    I say around 35hz

I'm sure it'll handle it fine, all day pounding might have issues
  3. They look great! My only opinion is to have even length heasink fins on the sides.

I think I'm going to have to get a 1500 now, then get the 2000 when it comes out.
  5. Curious as to if there was a push back on time or date.
  6. It's going to be hard getting used to all these new amps coming out. Bang for the buck will come by way of the "SAE" line, and prolly make the company the most $. The "SAZ" line will continue to impress for their low load stability, high power output, and overbuilt yet simple design that has created a strong reputation for the name SUNDOWN. I wish the best for sundown for many years to come. Makes sense to me why you take the directions you do. A balance between what's best for the company & what the customer wants will prevail in my book.
  7. If the 5k does not make full list by the deadline, can you start the saz 2000d instead? I'm really waiting for this one, I believe it's the route you need to take next in my opinion. Any input on this is appreciated, thanks.

should be around .26 cubic foot
  9. what song is that and by who?
  10. What will the enclosure requirements be for these? Sealed, Ported?

Did you check your amp and all power & signal cables? Fuses?
  12. I hope I can take advantage of this before its too late

Can you double baffle? 18" bl will do damage to a weak box and will sound like crap doing it
  14. If you want the best bang for the buck I would do the SSDs w/ a sae 1000d. The 1500 has a short wait for restock still ,so if your patient they will be available soon. If you have little man syndrome, you could do a saz 3000d on the Q's , but i would get the bp option then. A Rockford Fosgate power T20001bd would also be nice imo

Might be able to find a RF T4k for close to that aswell
  16. I dont understand why people are interested in higher frequencies for subs. The whole point of having them installed is to reinforce the bottom most octave. I could care less if my sub played higher, actually I would'nt like it but thats me. That is what my ''Q'' brings to the table, all the lows and nothing far over 50hz which doesn't bother me any. If my subs do go higher I filter them out by crossing over @ a lower frequency anyway. What I'm saying is, if you want higher frequency bass say 60hz- 100hz invest in some mid-bass woofers.
  17. No problems w/mine. It gets pushed hard and I've never bottomed it out or smelled coil. This thing is tough
  18. What happened to the Q that you speak about? I pound on my 18Q 1 hour strait twice a day without problems.
  19. No doubt, 2700 would be awesome from the 1500
  20. Hmmmm, very interesting to say the least. Only seems possible on the most extreme situation though. Maybe too much tolerance on the measuring equipment itself.
  21. Actually, the alternator only puts out what is required from it until it cant supply any more above its ability then the battery starts to discharge aswell. e.g. at idle if no other loads are presented to the alt and you clamp the output wire, i've seen well under 20 amps. This is due to the battery being the only difference of potential. Output at idle can be under 10 amps especially if the battery is over 75% charge or { 12.45v }.
  22. props for throwing in some real subs in a video
  23. cant wait for those
  24. check excessive amperage

Not as extreme as you think. 33 for good output everywhere, 30 for more authority down lower
