Just stick to the manufactures specifications for that size and series & you'll be good to go.

Just so nobody gets me wrong I assume everyone hasn't gone cheap with the enclosure. If you decide to cut corners anywhere..........the enclosure is not the place to do it.You can take a radio shack woofer and put it in a solid well built box and it'll impress. You can also take a premium high dollar speaker & drop it into a half wit box and it will disapoint. Thus the need for a well built box everytime @ all costs period.
  4. Seems perfect to me.Most t20001bds birth around 2300wrms @ 2ohms

I like the ssd route. Two 12s or 15s but with at least 800wrms or more for each woofer.500-600 watts will sound good but at around 1000watts they will have more impact. Why not give em full rms power if your plan is to beat your friends.

I was thinking...... ultra low impedence & massive current delivery...but from the looks of the pics the COIL still looks unaffected. Was the tinsel glowing red hot while touching the spider?

If I didn't know any better I'd think you're just trying to get your posts #s up quick.Seriously,if you would just look around the forum you would find at least half your answers. All the options, specs, enclosure info are all listed at the top before you scroll down to the threads.Just check all your posts.........go ahead I'll give u a minute..........alot of them are asking the same questions. We're all here to get feedback for something and we ''including myself''are here to help one another, but please I'm asking nicely try to ask things that have not been covered yet.Nothing personal, just too many unessesary posts.Hope you understand ..........thank you.
  12. You're gonna love that amp!
  13. What's the alternator size on those?
  14. You already have a good handle on the situation bro.
  15. Really don't understand why u worry about upper frequencies when we're talking about 18'' subs.If you're that worried about it get 8s or 10s.
  16. This makes me feel old.
  17. lee replied to J.C's topic in General Fi
Screw it!Just get the 18...why?.....Cause I said so.Ok,would it matter either way if your happy they're ''Infinitely Amazing''
  18. Just make sure it's a good ported built box cause mono-a-mono the l7 is strong by itself.
  19. Pioneers only go in the dash for me at best.Know what I mean?
  20. Cover all the bases 4-15s.U got your 4-speakers & they're 15s.
  21. Well you have some choices:sealed, ported, prefab, custom etc.If all you want is loud ported is the ticket. My only recomondation w/ported is custom built specific to that speaker.Sealed is more plug & play due to it being more forgiving.Stay within Fi specs & you'll be fine.

SSD would be a great combo though your box is too big for one 12.Maybe w/flatwind option you could that extra db or so peak out of it w/another box.I think you'll likee!
  23. My bad I thouht we were talking about the 07 model were I would be correct. So u have the older model then right? For TOPGUN I said that because it would be like runnig those subs off of a head units built in power vs. an amp that matches the rms of the sub. That's the difference in sound I was trying to bring across.Back in the day when I used to run 50wrms to each of two 12s then later upgrade the amp for one that puts out 200wrms to each 12,that was a huge output difference.Hope this clears things up I assumed that he was using the 07 model so I appologize for that mixup.
