  1. Err... you are aiming for pure SQ but you feed it with 1300w rms??? Maybe you can go with the recommended of 1.5 cu ft.
  2. Uhmm... thats new. Never heard anyone said the R sounded better than the CVX. It was suppose to be Kicker LSQ sub.
  3. I deffinitely ordered a yellow thong cause it looks so kinky.
  4. I was thinking of the 18Q instead of the 15Q. I always being a fan of ported enclosures and in my life only have 1 sealed and didnt like it at all. So my choice is either 18 sealed or 15 ported because of space issues. In the end I'd go with the 15 and builded a big ass port for it and never been happier.
  5. IMO all Fi subs are actually sound good. No comment so far as bad sounding. The main question is how loud do you want it to be?
  6. I think Scott can do that. IIRC he reconed a SX before and someone also asked to recone the MT. Maybe Scott can do a hybrid of your sub from MT to MTX sub. lol

thumbs up for the cardboard replica. Looks exactly the same and I cant differentiate either one except the cardboard has a single magnet LOL. I'm guessing its a 18 BL. What amp do you have there?
  11. appleyard replied to J.C's topic in Fi Products
It safe to say go with the BL with 1000w. SSD can take the power with the options but you wont have any issues with the BL. If you want to get new amp with more power than you wont have to upgrade your subs.
  12. Q will have my vote all the way. Give it 1000w and it will shake your balls.

I just realised that the Q was using new basket like these: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=8565 and also there is no logo on the cone itself. Well I prefer the good old looks though. Does this effect all the sub as well?
  14. do you mean that if you send big envelope he will give you biggie ones. Well they better watch out cause I'm looking for the biggest ones that ever being made.
  15. I think you can get the recones from Kicker in China cause the CVR is born there. I myself owns 2 cvr's and was thinking the same thing. Btw, just some crazy idea on my head right now, if its possible to get the cvr/Fi hybrid. You know fully loaded CVR sounds cool.
  16. Actually the ones that makes me really interested in Fi is the great 12 challenge in ROE and I always wanted a 15" sub and a SQ sub so the answer is Q15.
  17. That I heard the previous RE owner started a new company and you know you have to chech it out. I was a big fan of the RE XXX last time... even though I never owned it.
  18. appleyard replied to carguy6702's topic in Fi Products
Scott by "more linear volumetric displacement" does it means it has flatter BL curve?
  19. Doesnt he learned anything from Adire Audio last time. I also heard of the BTL tinsel leads problems but no one has yet to prove its the sub fault. But I guess everyone is more than willing to blame the sub rather than blame themself.
  20. appleyard replied to kbkid's topic in Fi Products
Would you give us the Q vs SX opinion? Because initially I was going for the SX before I learned about the price of it.
  21. appleyard replied to carguy6702's topic in Fi Products
I think he means which sub plays louder on lower and higher freq. Well I do agree that its all box dependent as well. sometimes I do wonder Q vs BL in same box allignment with 30hz showdown.
  22. Get that Q up with 1500 watts and see the numbers up
  23. Borat says NICE!!!
  24. Tremor Is that thing sealed?
  25. Any difference with USPS? I heard a lot of horror stories with UPS. Saw one Atomic APX in half (basket break into 2 pieces) because of those guys.
