Problems with HU Install
So attach it to the red ignition wire? It seems beings this is designed to dim the unit it would not require but it would be the source of power. I could be wrong, it happened before Either way, I'm trying it and if you are right you are my new best friend

Welcome to the IHoP
I wasn't going to fill the H0P with my meaningless pics but its the H0P so what the hell, why not.... BEFORE AFTER I know its different angles but I finished at night in a different location so the same pics didn't yield the same results.... And before I took pics I power washed it good at the local place so it was sorta clean. I probably spent an hour and a half getting road tar off the rocker panels :/

Problems with HU Install
I checked any fuses that seemed relevant on the left and right side of the dash and the fuses under the hood

Problems with HU Install
wow that sounds like a whole load of suck. I know the dash blinkers, high beam, fuel light all work, its just the ones that dim and brighten with the knob (The gauges and such) there has got to be a fuse for that right?

Problems with HU Install
I recently installed a Pioneer Premier 490iB in and 01 accord. The install kit had a wire for a dimmer (orange w/ white stripe) and an illumination wire (orange) the Pio HU only has an orange illumination wire. So I combined the two together and now my friends dimmable dash lights do not work. I have googled this to death, found a few topics with the same problem but none with an answer... So I went back in an just snipped the dimmer wire away from the illumination wires but the problem still remains. I really don't see how the dimmer is controlled through the headunit. I could have possible blew a fuse when I wired it like I did but I went through all the fuses I could find and didn't find a blown one. Anything I'm missing? ir has anyone else installed a HU in a Honda

2-Way or 3-Way?
I've been trying to decide if I want a single Din, Double Din, or possibly Car PC in my truck but I think the question can really only be answered after I decide if I want to go 3-way or 2-way Active. I have now currently installed one 2-Way Active setup ran by an 880PRS so that is my extent to an active setup. I have been told to do a 3-way I may have to go with a robust 7 instead of an 8 but would really prefer squeezing an 8 even if that means a custom door pod that I have seen made. I have no problem with using the kicks or glassing as well So I'm really looking for some Pro's and Con's between 2-Way and 3-way. The more I think the more I really just want to go all out on this truck and love the idea of a good 3-way

Sundown vs RF testing
So the last post there.... are people really this stupid?

Sundown vs RF testing
Better Analogy: Its like have a RF made V8 Engine and a Sundown Made V8 Engine. Both engines make 350 HP but the Sundown V8 gets better gas mileage.

SQ driving me NUTS
I hope I can pull that off in mine. I noticed there are alot more little rattles in my 02 then there were in my 90 model. I can only imagine how horrible a nbs chevy sounds with a large substage and no deadning

Welcome to the IHoP
arghh 11 oclock and I still haven't started the ruck had to go get it inspected and such this morn anybody ever do a head unit install on an 01ish accord. I combined the dimmer and illumination wire from the stock harness to the illumination to the new harness but now the dash lights don't work. I disconnected the dimmer wire and nothing changed. I don't really know the correct way to wire it and I'm not sure if i blew any fuses (I couldn't find any that were blown in or out of the car)
