  1. So I got a call from a really good friend of mine today that moved to Utah to attend BYU; she told me that at 10:30 that morning she was riding on a four wheeler with someone and it fell off the side of the mountain. When she hit the ground she heard her rib crack and she was stuck somewhere for an hour while the rescue team tried to get to her. In addition to the broke rib she has a bruised lung and a broken something else. Its been a long time since my heart dropped so hard. She seems to be doing well but is in the hospital right now. I thought I was about to spend all my money to get a plane ticket to Utah. If any of you guys pray, keep her in your prayers tonight and pray that there isn't internal bleeding (this always seems to scare me as you can't tell its happenning). One good point to this, she does realize that after all is said and done, she is going to have one awesome story, but she may have to drop out of college this semester because of it.
  2. so the headunit does almost double its output with every notch of volume? By time factor and memory do you mean that if someone heard 120db then 5 minutes later heard 121.5db they wouldn't be able to tell the difference but if they were listening then someone turned up the volume a 1.5db notch the person would percieve the change in volume?
  3. Sometimes I can't pass up a good deal and it gets me in to trouble. Thats such a good deal I can't afford NOT to buy it. ^Thats what I tell myself
  4. I own a much older model of that head unit (2004 I believe) and its an awesome headunit for the price. It doesn't have LP or HP Filters but has a fully adjustable EQ. The flip down isn't motorized so you don't have to worry about going out, and it puts out good sound as well.

At what voltage is the sax100.4 rated at?
  10. Can get the Kicker SS65.2 6-1/2" components in the 2-300 range anybody ever used these? Kicker SS65.2 6-1/2" 04SS65.2
  11. lmao thats great. Had a friend with a cat with only front claws declawed as well. He would hold a rat with his two front paws and kill it with the rear paws. lol
  12. My friend is looking for some components and has about 175W @ 4 to play with and ofcourse wants to fill that void with speaks rated somewhere up there, but it seems to me there are more quality components in the sub 100W range. I noticed there are few passive component sets that are rated up over 100W RMS. Are there any high wattage components that are highly recomended? PS- Price range around 200-300
  13. I noticed the SAX100.2 doesn't feature a subsonic filter but is recommended for 2 sd-1's. Would you recommend running these 10's w/o a subsonic filter
  14. I'm extremely curious to the answer to this as well
  15. Got the subs in today! Do you get one entry per woofer purchased or just per order? not trying to be greedy or anything, just wonderin
  16. College football starts tonight anybody follow? Since my some of my best friends go to LSU. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Can't do 5 channel as the only rear you could get out of the speakers would be directly left and directly right. Also, it would help to make the wiring a nightmare as I can't run through the walls. I'm really not sure on the budget as I don't know whats all involved in home audio equipment and I don't even know the difference between a pre amp and amp. I really just assumed active because I'm not to sure of my capabilities of building a crossover, I'm sure I could buy one but that would just be more money but I guess another amp would be more money as well. 'm really just looking for bang for the buck (like the Mach 5 products). This is a small room and just for reference I had a Best Buy system in my bedroom and it could rock the damn place with 3 inch midbass and the living room is only 1/3 larger.

I figured it would be fun to make a little HT Setup for the dorm room. I have a MAW-10 to use (can run at 8 or 2 ohms) and thought about getting some MLI-65 and a tweeter to match for up front. Not looking for anything spectacular just something really to play with. I'm more concerned about with amplifiers and reciever to use as I don't know much about them. Also I guess I would prefer to run active as I don't want to make my own crossover and would like experience with active anyways.
  19. Mechanical Engineering with a double major in Mathmatics. Then hopefully I get on with a company that pays for my college and I can finish off my education with a degree in Business
  20. I started last thursday. I love being back in college and this year is going to be freakin awesome. I go to Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. LU!!
  21. oh my this is great.... On another forum there is a topic about putting speakers in a boat and if marine speakers are worth it. Here is a guys reply lmao that is almost as good as when someone tried to tell me that filling tires with foam would make it more boyant than filling the tire with air
  22. textbooks.com to me is the best value. There shipping seems to be very reliable and timely I use amazon.com and though sometimes its cheaper, shipping can take forever, so i would reccomend ordering from them when you have atleast 3 weeks until you need the book.
  23. Ordered 2 10's. Now, if I win that amp I'll have to get another car to stick my spare amps in
  24. I believe it was .5ft^3 tuned to 47hz. I used industrial plastic wrap tubes for ports The sealed was .5ft^3 too if im not mistaken isn't 47 a lil high? and why are you guys wining about 9 o-clock classes? I have a 9:30 and 10:00 and couldn't be happier. the 8 o-clocks are no fun though
