ax-5600 problem
OK I'm not mad at US amps per se, I'm mad that they would let a waste of a company like Ike sound respresent them. However Greg has pulled through for me and seems to be a real kick ass guy. I truly appreciate what he is doing. Now that I see what has gone on behind the scenes I feel like a jack ass and am truly sorry to Greg an US amps. Ike sound on the other hand can eat a dick.

ax-5600 problem
well after sending them the pic and them balatantly telling me they advertised it as refurbed and us amps doing nothing about it I can no longer reccomend us amps to anyone. As of now to me this company is a joke and can't belive they would let someone like this represent their product. BBB complaint has been filed and I'll do an IC3 later as well as calling my bank and reporting online fraud. This is all a load of crap.

ax-5600 problem
well since i have to go through Ikesound to get an RMA number it might take awhile. I'm considering just fixing it myself since nothing is burnt and the componet is in a very easy to reach area.

efficiency
like the old orion xtr 2 channel class a/b amps that run 2400 watts rms at 60% or less efficiency at 1 ohm. or the ma audio amps that are class a/b that are current hogs. those are high current amps. they are class a/b high current (can drop under 4 ohms mono) yet arent class d amps (which well expect to be 1 ohm stable.)

18" RE SX
anything below 50 lbs for an 18" woofer is probably bullspit no offense to anyone... bringing this one back from the dead, they use the same motor and baskets are very light. so unless you have a 20 pound basket the re sx 18 will still weigh about the same as the 12 or even the 10.

where are your gains on your Zed amps?
if you have the gain to high it can cause clipping which wil cause voltage spikes and to much current going through the amp can fry transistors real quick.

18" RE SX
MOTOR WEIGHT DOES NOT INDICATE POWER HANDLING!!!!!!
-
18" RE SX
when i shipped mine out it was 32 pounds shipping weight. why do you need a sub to weight more?? if you think weight is an indicator of performance go pick up a power acoustic mofo.

amp class sound characteristics
Class A/B amps will be lower distortion, especially noticable at higher frequencies. Though, the downside is much lower efficiency. Check some of the "tech talk" section at www.zedamps.com he has some good info on amplifier "classes". I noticed an improvement in SQ with A/B's on my subs, but for the ammount of power I like to run, it's not really practical without serious electrical system upgrades. while there is some truth to this a few years ago, new technologies are reducing the amount of high frequency distortion that the class d makes which is making the full range class d amps have just as little distortion as the class a/b amps now.
